I work for a supermarket supplier and they are all BASTARDS! Bastards I tell you.

Even Waitrose? Shock

I suppose the butler will have to order from Harrods from now on.

My friend and I visited Sainsburys recently and they had No Lemons. None at all.

We left in disgust.

Sainsburys is ok, it keeps the riff raff out of Waitrose.

sardinequeen how does he know the hens aren't forced to look cheerful and make small talk because their eggs are being held hostage?

Supermarkets do exactly the same with their checkout staff. Probably the coercion techniques are a bit different but no less cruel.

I gave up buying meat from any and all supermarkets. We now get it delivered from farmers choice, with labels saying which farm it came from! Much nicer than anything I've had from a supermarket, and as we eat a lot of meat, it actually works out a fair bit cheaper too. I was actually shocked at the difference.

Also, having worked for Tesco before, any viable alternatives to having to spend my money there, are very welcome! Grin

He communes with them, I believe.

Actually it was quite funny last year, my mum had just told me about my brother's hen watching activities. When I saw him I asked him if he'd been up to the farm and had a good look at the hens. "Yes" he said. I said oh and did they look happy? And he said "Well unfortuately this time one of them was dead".

I can just imagine his dismayed little face the poor love. (He is in his 30s)
