I have just found out about spacebar - as I mn almost exclusively on iPad where the spacebar is impotent.

The librarian in me hates the filing issue caused by the 'bung it in aibu' mentality.

Quite apart from it making things messy, harder to find and bloody ridiculous, you can't customise MN. Say you have a problem such as health anxiety and you've hidden general health to customise the board to suit you, then some fecker starts bunging health queries in aibu, you are forced to view somebody else's threads in active convos because they don't have the courtesy to use the topics correctly. It's rude tbh. You have a board which functions in a specific way. Sticking everything in a catch all topic implies you're above bothering to use the site properly.
