I have DS identical twins, 14 months.

One twin is felt handed, the other right handed.

The one who is right handed got his first front teeth on the right.
The one who is left handed got his first front teeth on the left.

One has a dimple on his left cheek, the other on the right.

Shock

Oooh it all feels very science fictiony and interesting.

Methinks I'll do a PHD on it :)

I find this very interesting.

DH is an identical twin ,not mirror.I think mirror twins are very rare?

I went to university with identical twin boys who were mirror twins. I told them apart by a birthmark each one had, on opposites sides of their chins.

My ID twins are "mirror", even down to a mole on their neck, and the way the hair on their crown goes, left and right handed etc. Also almost complete opposites in personality now, although they tended to "swap" these when younger ie dominance etc. Interesting thing though, when one had a major op at 2yrs,, the other, who was in a different building, started screaming and saying he "hurt" where the op site was!Hmm
Mind you, at almost 11yrs, they are both becoming mini "kevins" and a complete pain in the butt!Grin

I always thought all identical twins were mirror twins too. Turns out just under 25% of them are.
Sounds as if yours could be mirror twins OP, although 14 months could be a bit too young to have a definite preference for handedness!

I thin the whole concept of mirror twins is fascinating (disclaimer: have twins, but not ID ones). Am in NZ and know of this study here to investigate handedness.
