Like Schrodinger's cat - how can we be sure if the cat is dead or alive if we don't open the freezer?

Well, Psammead, take one ordinary cat, one large box fridge, a particle detector, a radiation source, a bottle of cyanide gas. Hook up the detector so that if it detects a particle from the radiation source, it will open the cyanide gas. Set it up inside the box fridge in such a way that there will be a 50% probability of a particle being detected from the radiation source within a five minute period. Add the cat to the box fridge.

Theory says that the cat will enter a quantum state where it is 50% alive and 50% dead until the experimenter looks inside the box fridge. However, reality teaches us that the severely pissed off cat cat WILL escape the box fridge well before the 5 minutes are up, attack the experimenter and depart just in time for the severely lacerated experimenter to watch the hammer descend on the cyanide bottle one inch from his nose.

My sisters cat sits on top of next doors car that is parked in next doors drive, we believe it is trying to lull other cats into a false sense of security as when they enter his garden thinking there are no cats he pounces .

One cat got wise though and snuck in the cat flap round the back and did a big turd in his cat bed

You couldn't put my sisters cat in the freezer, he would have your face off

Why won't cats ever drink water from their bowls?

Bath - yes, toilet - yes, stagnant pond water - yes, little plastic toy teacup with soap and shit in it - yes. Bowl - no way.

Also why does my cat feel the need to go around the house every night opening all the cupboard doors?

But not the freezer one Hmm

I shall ask.

YABU. Takes at least three strong, fearless people to get mine into a bloody cat - carrier, let alone a freezer.

YANBU - as long as said cat has already moved on to the great cat basket in the sky first.

I once had a goldfish I was very fond of. When he snuffed it I put him in the freezer. He was quite happy for many months.
