@ Stranded. We're debating the worktops at the mo' We currently have crappy dark grey laminated ones. The plan is to replace them with real walnut. Am terrified I will destroy them in a week though. Dh swears he will lovingly oil them and nourish them and care for them like they were is own children. He probably will to be fair. It's me I'm worried about.

@ Lequeen, hmmm, Matchstick you say. Ooh, I'll have to get some samples won't I? I don't do harsh contrasts either, and it's an old cottage with low ceilings so need to keep things as bright as poss.
