My landlord has just emailed me to say he won't be continuting my tenancy when it ends as his friend wants to move in to the property.

When we moved in, he assured me that it would be a home for the forseeable future and now he just wants me out so his friend can rent it instead.

at least he's waiting for your tenancy to end and not making your life a misery to get you to move out break tenancy sooner.

I am panicking too about ds. We live in a lovely little street at the moment, and ds plays out all day at weekends and every night after school with the other kids in the street. After being so unsettled his whole life, to move him again after a year is so upsetting

The first thing to do then is to see whether there are other rental properties available on your street.
