to expect a reasonable service from Tesco online

I know that there are many more important things to worry about in life, and it is my first post in AIBU, so I am little scared but this really annoyed me today!

I ordered my weekly Tesco shop and out of 50 items 10 were not delivered and 3 more swapped! This has annoyed me because now I will have to still go to the shops as some of the items were essentials!

Also, if I had been ordering really obscure items I would be more understanding, but did the seriously expect me to believe that there were no chopped tomatoes in the whole store, and that there were no possible substitutions.

I suppose I am interested to know if I am being AIBU I should accept this, or if other people find online grocery shopping equally annoying!

Gah! That should read "not shopped for groceries online".

I like tesco online, never had a problem really apart from a late delivery last week... but because I didn't get any notification of the delay they refunded my delivery cost, took £5 off my shopping and gave me a £5 voucher for next time.

With items that are essntial, try adding a note to the item (somewhere in the checkout process I think) explaining what to sub it with if they can't see something obvious.

Never really had a problem with them - although I have a shop coming later today, and for a really obscure reason had to go into the shop on my way somewhere just now, and one of the items that was resolutely out of stock at 2am this morning (which was the last amendment I made) was proudly sitting there on the shelf. I will be mentioning it to the lovely chap who delivers later (and who delivers right into my kitchen, no problems!!)

I guess it just depends on how well the store that supplies you is run?
