Mainly because they seem to be the in thing to moan about at times, ie 1 starts and 50 or so people then seem to have blue badge issues.

Plus in the years I've had on this earth I've yet to witness witness any issues with blue badge users, nor as a blue badge holder have we used it to park on the roof of a double decker.

I'm quite an open minded cheese too, I even witnessed a scrap on a bus once.......but that's the risk I take when I use the number 3 Wink

I dunno, I just have visions of a load of wild haired harridans, red eyed and foaming as they tap out a ad of bile fuelled by yet another sleepless night thinking of people who have something they can't have, driven slowly mad from years of adding up blue badge holders saved parking charges and playing spot the badge adorned car on the double yellows. Wink

Ds quite often sprints into Sainsbury's, unfortunately I'll be lumbering sprinting after him to stop him running in front of a car as he's totally oblivious. This is ok on the way in, but not so great on the way out with me lugging shopping and trying to keep him safe at the same time. That's why I have to park close by. Occasionally he sprints back out a bit prematurely and I have to abandon the trolley/basket and hotfoot it after him. Can it be that we've started the whole myth of 'sprinting BB holders'?Grin If only I could teach him to cartwheel or hop, just for fun!

madhairday · 02/09/2011 20:48

MN doesn't have the monopoly on sprinting BB holders, have seen plenty of these in my local rag. Although I do remember one in particular on MN where the BB holder 'had high heels on'. The sheer cheek of it Hmm

I've had the odd comment but can't be arsed to reply any more, ignorance only feeds itself I find. I have an 'invisible' disability which invites more comment in general, it seems.

Riveninabingle oh don't get me on those people
one day I parked in the street, I delibrately parked so no one could park be hind me, as behind me were the zig zags out side a school, came back with dd. it is pissing it down with rain, and some dozy bint had parked right behind me to pick up her child, I let rip at her

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 02/09/2011 21:21

DD will be a sprinting, well, fast toddling, badge holder

Tiredmumno1 · 02/09/2011 21:29

That 2shoes is terrible and just plain rude, i hope you told her how ignorant she was is terrible and just plain rude, i hope you told her how ignorant she was

Tiredmumno1 · 02/09/2011 21:30

Agghhhh stoopid phone

2shoes · 02/09/2011 21:40

Tiredmumno1 oh I did, she was carrying her nt child, as if the rain on the floor would melt them, and parked illegally, whilst my dd was getting soaked.
I always accept that with parking being a premium, I will get bloked in(as in no rear access to ramp/lift) and have in the past nabbed a walking past person to hold on to dd's chair whilst I move into the road, I then hold up traffic whilst I load her, but ffs, she should have parked there, and she blocked in a WAV with a big sticker on it

I experienced my first actual Bridezilla last week - a relative's wedding (that I wasn't invited to) where the bride had behaved in a shockingly bridezillaish way and the groom had failed totally to rein her in and been appallingly wet.

I was outwardly sympathetic to the "victims" but inwardly I was leaping up and down like Bill Oddie having spotted a lesser striped pink warbler that he'd thought was extinct in the wild.

Serenitysutton · 02/09/2011 21:50

I worked in parking at a council when I first left uni. Although it was a fact that bb holders were the group who most regularly fucked up their parking - oftn because they didn't understand they couldn't park whereever they fancied- yabu because I think a lot are made up too!

My wonderful, evil MIL once parked her car behind a car with no blue badge, blocking it in, put her badge on the dash and we sauntered off into asda. We even had coffee while we watched the man try and figure out wtf to doGrin
She let him off the hook after about 90 minutes. He just sat in his car glaring at us.
