like their inlaws
like their friends
are happy for people getting married and want to celebrate with them
are happy when they recieve invitations to things
and generally like people?

there seems to be so much misanthropy on mn.. it makes me genuinely really quite sad sometimes and makes me wonder if everybody i appear to have nice interactions with on a day to day basis is quitely seething with hatred undeneath and just waiting to have a good bitch when i'm gone.

I love my friends, I quite literally squee'd with delight last month when my best friend told me she's getting married because I'm so pleased for her and her DP, I wish I got invited to more Things, and generally like people as long as it's after 10am and I've had enough caffeine. The inlaws are a bit problematic. I don't actively dislike them, but it definitely helps they live 4 hours away and only visit about 4 times a year, let's put it that way.

Fontsnob · 01/09/2011 20:30

Squee'd... That sounds like stuff was squeezed out of you!! Grin

defrocked · 01/09/2011 20:32

i like and love my mum and dad and have never fallen out with them

i like and love my brother and sister and have never fallen out with them

my inlaws are dead but i got along with them fine

i get along with colleagues in the main

my kids are happy healthy and well adjusted

i dont think i am suitable for MN Grin

Joolyjoolyjoo · 01/09/2011 20:36

I like all of them Grin

but coming on MN and hearing how awful other people's inlaws/ friends etc are makes me appreciate mine all the more, so I don't mind the moaning of folk whose inlaws etc are not as agreeable as mine.

I love any other party, birthdays etc. and i like getting invitations.

I like people.

Can i add some more? (this is my type of thread)

  • I like my frinds' kids and my neighbours' kids too.
  • I like having friends in my house for lunch/dinner
  • I like most shop assistants/bus drivers and i have never written a complain letter in my life.
  • I don't mind people looking at my kids/eating my food/

Can i also say i love sex Grin

Red2011 · 01/09/2011 23:20

I'm mostly happy although post-baby my hormones are still settling so if you get me in PMT week I'm a moany, short-tempered bitch.
I love my family, inlaws included, and have a great circle of friends in the main...there are a few who are, shall we say 'flaky' but I can accept that as part of their character - it doesn't rile me.
I like a good wedding, I have no major problem with presents unless they're asking for gifts that start at £50.

lachesis · 01/09/2011 23:22

most weddings are utterly boring shite.

worraliberty · 01/09/2011 23:24

So true OP lol

And can I just add...I've never been stared at, pointed at, tutted at or 'pulled up' by a member of the public for discipling my children Grin

MissMap · 02/09/2011 11:31

I get along with everyone I come into contact with for just over 3 weeks a month.

On the other few days I don't.

Generally I am very naice, and I would not mind anyone moving a horse into my next door neighbours garden. (If I had a next door neighbour with a garden- nb stealth bragging).

Not so keen on (most of) my family though, but more than made up for by my wonderful friends and amazing in-laws. Love weddings and any other parties, love it when my friends fall in love, love it when they have kids, love (most) people. Not so keen on snakes, insects or Tories though. Grin

Gonzo33 · 02/09/2011 11:41

I am all of those things barr the inlaws but find it therapuetic to rant on here and then come to a calm solution.

thesunshinesbrightly · 02/09/2011 11:44

I love me,my kids and my dog!

I hate
parties unless i'm insanely drunk.
weddings always end in divorce so whats the point?.
My neighbours!!!!!!!
Where i live.
Archers and lemonade(makes me sick as a dog)
Pmt.
clowns.

i could go on but this thread is about love

SiamoFottuti · 02/09/2011 13:01

I love my MIL,
My SIL's are my friends, all of them.
We all socialise together and actively like each other
My friends are great and we don't fight or have text wars or dump each other or borrow money or have any dramas at all
I sometimes get invited to weddings and parties and I go it I want to and don't if I don't and give gifts as and when I like.
Old ladies never tut at me or give out about my children
My neighbours all borrow teabags from each other and feeds each other cats (except you, no5 )
I don't feel judged at the school run or anywhere else, even though I wear cheap clothes and am not well groomed.
Pretty much all the people I come into contact with are perfectly pleasant and nice.

So ner.
Grin

I'm the same as Laquitar.
Sometimes life gets me down but most of the time I'm a happy chappy :)

freybean · 02/09/2011 13:46

thats why i hardly post Grin

ViviPru · 02/09/2011 13:56

Great thread.

I'm wedding-centric at the moment for reasons made clear elsewhere but generally have irritatingly (for others) few gripes as I'm pretty good at not letting things/people get to me and if that's not possible - I remove them from my life.*

*Disclaimer - none of the above is applicable to the PiLs. Horrors.
