After I just inadvertently flashed a policeman. Blush Shock

In bath, DS in bedroom playing with Lego and doorbell goes. DS flies into bathroom to tell me and ask who it is .

We live in a small apartment block with 4 flats. There is front and back outer doors which we use to buzz in visitors so presumed whoever it was was a door to door and had harassed neighbours previously.

He leaves and I lay back down and bell goes again.

This thread brings a whole new meaning to the term 'BOBFOC' which is widely used where I live. (Body off Baywatch, Face off Crimewatch!!!) Grin

Do you have legal aid on your car insurance? They may fund a legal claim against them for losses so you don't have to claim off your own isurance.

Grin at you flashing though.

WilsonFrickett · 29/08/2011 16:03

ahem, OP loving the way the 'policeman' has now become 'Dan' after the second look at his truncheon.

Naughty kidding Grin

fit2drop · 29/08/2011 16:07

would have loved to have been in the office when the policeman told his colleagues Grin

youarekidding · 29/08/2011 18:17

Wilson Grin MNers wanted info - I got his name and number!! I did get other details like he has brown eyes and mousy brown hair but couldn't stare too hard after flashing! He did carry a sturdy truncheon though. Wink

fit Erm yes, my DS Ex-CM DH is a policeman. She only stopped because they moved so keep in touch. I just hope that this policeman isn't from the same station. Blush

Head excellent point. The garage today said they can replace wing mirror and maybe able to fix not replace the lock. He thinks he can de -dent the car using this magnetic thingy. Confused He said he'll offer £300 in the state it's in if the lock can be fixed, £250 if it needs replacing. Maybe I could get him to give me a receipt for the labour/ parts even if I don't actually get it fixed just p/ex as it is and pursue using legal. ( I do have it as I added it - thanks for reminding me!)

Great thing (well not but yswim!) is if I get £300 I'm no worse off as insurance is £100 excess. I do still lose it though but wonder if it's worth the hassle chasing it through court?

The female police collegue is probably reading your post now and thinking "that's why he was so insistant on me coming..." Grin

If the kid had your wing mirror in his bedroom, isn't that theft? He took something that didn't belong to him and kept it.

SarahStratton · 29/08/2011 22:23

Send him my way...

youarekidding · 30/08/2011 17:34

edam Thing is he picked it up from the floor and took it home. His father is an almighty tosser who seems to be able to argue his son out of trouble.

The car wasn't criminal damage as accidental.
Another child was hitting his DS with a stick so his DS acted in self defence - he could press charges against that child.
Not paying as I have insurance for that Hmm
He found the wing mirror - not a mechanic so how was he to know it was the same one as it was the day after.

Sarah you can have him. Grin He came round today with another collegue (male) who was H O T hot. Grin Think though he was well aware of what happened as he kept looking at me and I could see the smirk.

Hoping this will end soon before every police man/ woman in a 5 mile radius who has heard the story has had a chance t o come and witness the 'woman who flashed PC Dan.' Blush Grin
