To be livid with the Evening Standard

AIBU honestly (I've never posted in AIBU) but I genuinely want your opinions.
Wen did it become acceptable to print the photographs of 2 dead children in Libya? The Metro printed 'a body' this morning of a Libyan rebel which basically showed a man's feet (the rest of him covered with a blanket). The Evening Standard this evening shows the faces of 2 dead children (approx 7 years old) and a distraught family member. I was so shocked and immediately distressed by these images as a mother and as a human being. When did newspapers start doing this? Is it shock tactics? Is it necessary?

I'm genuinely upset and am thinking of complaining (for what it's worth). AIBU?

why dont you write to the editor and complain, or your MP, or someone who can actually do something

YANBU, and everyone has the right to privacy and to not have their children's faces used to sell more papers.

They would not have shown dead English children would they, why is acceptable to use forign children?

I will complain yes. But it got me thinking have I ever seen this before? And has anyone else?

I was so shocked I literally gasped/yelped on the tube and the my eyes filled up. These are children. This is one family's grief, tremendous grief.

I think Southern is right? Would they print this kind of photograph if the child had been British?

I will complain as soon as I get home and not on my phone. I can be quite inarticulate, I need to do his properly.
