I was not allowed to use it by my parents until I started 2nd year of secondary school but I stank of BO from about age 8/9.

So I just shop lifted mum roll ons from about 10 onwards.

Zombie,I was actually very pleased to see Fabbychic. Then I looked at the date.

Piecesofmyheart · 19/02/2013 16:42

God yeah - if her 'mother' suggested it then it's bound to be wrong OP.

Hmm

Lush is a big hit for some of the younger children in my (extended) family and they do an organic chemical free natural deodorant. I hate the smell of the shop so we will avoid it when our time comes.

My son who is 8 needs to wear it everyday or he gets sweaty smelling

thebody · 19/02/2013 17:31

Can't see the problem.. Smell = deodorant!

badtemperedaldbitch · 19/02/2013 17:31

My dd needs it she is 9 only just

We get the roll on

MrsMushroom · 19/02/2013 17:35

My DD is 8 in year 4 and some of her mates use it as they DO smell....DD doesn't yet but I bought her some....just because she wanted to be the same as them....no harm done. She only uses it now and then...it's a gentle intro into all that business I think.

countrykitten · 19/02/2013 18:04

Sanex do a good paraben free one which she could try?

cansu · 19/02/2013 18:13

If you are going to be questioning all her mothers decisions about her dd then I am guessing you have a very harmonious happy relationship. I am sure that such a lot of arguing and unpleasantness between the adults who love her is more dangerous and harmful than a bloody deodorant!

inlawsareasses · 19/02/2013 18:23

Mine needed it younger than that, it was incredibly unpredictable though so maybe you've not had the pleasure of the BO yet?

SquinkiesRule · 19/02/2013 19:55

I got some of the natural deodorant for my 8 year old, it hasn't got any antiperspirant properties, so purely for the smelly days. If I know it's going to be warm and she'll be out running about she wears it, it makes a huge difference she has a very distinct odor if she forgets.
By the time all the kids are 10 or so they really do need it on warm sunny days, I gagged when I walked into the classroom one time, it gave the teacher a laugh. He agreed they all needed it.

I have found some fantastic deodrants for my 8.10 year old in Boots
especially for kids called Keepitkind Freshkidz. Its a roll on which doesnt have aluminium or parabens. She used it yesterday for the first time and really worked. Wow what a difference when she came home from school.
