Dh owns his own business. We have been married for 6 years. Xwife calls today and says she has applied for a job (previously unemployed) and she has put him down as a reference. She wrote that she has been a manager at his company for the last ten years and her reason for leaving is that they are recently divorced. She wants him to lie. My head is spinning. This surely is not ok. Or aibu because I just hate her?

YANBU this could be far too risky for your husband which could in turn affect your life.

I would tell him not to lie if he is asked.

I would be annoyed that he was scared of her kicking off if he said no

If there are DCs he must keep the peace for their sake. If not he might try putting the following words in appropriate order: OFF SOD

Just to summarize...
I am irritated.
She will fuck up new job.
It does affect my life.
There are children, dh pays full support, half of his income, so no risk of starving kids etc.
I hope she does get a job, just on her own merit.
I hate that he is afraid of her kicking off.
Sod off is my sentiment exactly.
