I'm only six weeks pregnant at the mo, but was having a think earlier of things I need to buy for DC#2. I couldnt think of anything except consumables!! If DC2 is a boy, I will even use DSs clothes as there is nothing wrong with them (and if a girl, a lot of it is white or unisex anyway!)
AIBU? Will DC2 hate me when he/she is older because they didnt have their own pram?
DS is only 10m so everything is still in perfect condition, I just think it would be so wasteful to buy new.
(PS, I also dont want a double buggy :))

I'm 31 weeks with DC2.

The only thing I've bought for it so far are some disposable nappies, but we'll hopefully be using re-usables most of the time and they'll be 2nd hand too.
With DD we bought all the big things in unisex colours so we could use them again. (I also loath pink.)
Many of our things have been handed down several times. The cot and high chair are nearly 40 years old and have been used by at least 17 kids, Mum was a childminder. DD hasn't been bothered and I'm sure the next won't care either.

Everything else I've had to buy so far has been for me. Blush

Obviously if it's a boy at some point we'll probably have to buy some clothes, and toys, but generally the Grandparents have enjoyed doing that. I've been given loads of neutral hand me downs, I've got more than I'll ever use.

As my Dad always says, save your money until the kids are old enough to start asking for things.
