It won't exactly spice up your love life but will definitely help with those ever increasing heating bills. Mine just gives me that extra hour without thinking about flicking on the heating :)

Ooh you stole my thunder there borderslass! I was just going to say it's a modern word for a bedjacket. Now if only you could get one with a wolf on...

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 21/08/2011 22:30

They sell nighties that you have to dry clean... Confused... and really horrible boots and slippers.. don't like the cardigown either, it looks like a baggy, saggy cardigan. Really overpriced for what it is too. :(

PacificDogwood · 21/08/2011 22:31

YANBU, the cardigowns look cosy. But...

See, I want to like the Hush stuff and I have obsessively gone on their website for about 3 seasons now. But I don't. Like it, that is.
Wussy colours, all this pastelly shit. Some of the navy is ok, but then navy is so middle-aged. Just because I am middle-aged, doesn't mean I have to wear it.

'Antique pink'

cantpooinpeace · 21/08/2011 22:31

Wearing the cardigown, to me, says "I'm not ready for my PJs yet but won't be leaving the house again today and need some clothing comfort"

God, if you're going for velour, might as well be hung for a non stylish sheep as a lamb Grin

Rowena8482 · 21/08/2011 22:31

85 quid!!!! for a cardi! I have one of the world's definitive collections of large woolly garments and many of them look warmer and more enveloping that that one, and some of them even Shock fasten down the front, and not one of them ever cost me 85 quid! I can also knit a pair of socks for a damn sight cheaper than 25 pound too - good grief I could raise an angora goat and spin my own mohair for that!

cantpooinpeace · 21/08/2011 22:32

Vera - brilliant :)

£145.. Just seen the price of the one I found Shock
my mum has one from the damart catalogue in 'rose' with embroidery :(
I don't like it- she looks old in it.

I like yours though!

maristella · 21/08/2011 22:34

YANBU simply for introducing me to a website with lovely things I cannot afford!

Tenacity · 21/08/2011 22:34

It looks awful!

maristella · 21/08/2011 22:34

I don't know what a cardigown is but I fucking want one! Going to write to santa/prod DH awake.

garlicbutter · 21/08/2011 22:38

I bought this last winter. It's not called a "cardigown" (thank goodness) but it does a great job. I would definitely have preferred a £145 silk & cashmere one, though Grin

If anybody finds a full-length one, please do post! My shins get cold ...

ThatVikRinA22 · 21/08/2011 22:39

the hush one is lovely but id wear that out....too nice for a bloody dressing gown! and rather costly!

ive got a big ugly fleece that i walk the dog in....i wear that in winter! its naff but warm.

or heres an idea....

a dressing gown!

why do people need to reinvent the wheel?

either wear a dressing gown
or
a cardigan!

VeraCanSignChocolateAndWine · 21/08/2011 22:39

Cantpooinpeace - mine is red. I love it, great for snuggling in on cold winter evenings. Would never ever ever wear it in public.

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 21/08/2011 22:40

Lovvvve the colourway dahling! 'Fog' is so in during winter.

It occurs to me that you'd have fog on the brain to think that you're buying anything other than a long cardigan, of which I've got numerous versions which I sometimes wear over my jammies on winter mornings/evenings.

Grin Too true, Rowena Grin

cantpooinpeace · 21/08/2011 22:40

I'm seriously considering a mono-slipper next!

joric · 21/08/2011 22:41

ooh, what about a bed jacket?!! whilst we're at it...!!!

:o!!

FoundWanting · 21/08/2011 22:43

Is the 'slanket' out now then?

I was considering getting a really big one for me and DCs to share. We probably could forget central heating altogether. Grin

cantpooinpeace · 21/08/2011 22:43

The bed jacket is too formal for my liking.

Panzee · 21/08/2011 22:43

Vera in a bid to avoid spitting my tea all over my laptop, I've now proper burnt my throat. That jumper is brilliant. :o

joric · 21/08/2011 22:43

Cantpool :o !!!!

MissMarjoribanks · 21/08/2011 22:44

Ooooh can I just be smug for a second and say that I got a DKNY silk and cashmere maternity cardigown just like that one joric linked to for £9. Yes, £9. In America, when the pound was strong.

It isn't massively warm though. I just wear a big wooly thing from H&M when its chilly.

joric · 21/08/2011 22:46

"The bedjacket gets rid of unwanted bedtime attention"
hmmm good selling point...
