dd (7 months) and I argue regularly over who gets the remote. I have taken the batteries out of one that never gets used and given it to her.

Dh returned from work and said I shouldn't give in to her. AIBU to think he is taking the piss telling me not to give in to her and that until he spends 12 hours a day at home alone with her it really isn't his business how many remotes I feed the baby?

When ds3 was little, he used to have great fun taking the Sky card out of the digibox and then hiding it. Had to sellotape it in the end. Bless him!

See you needed a decoy Sky card and a shoe box to stick it in!

Ive got this parenting lark down me

Ha! YANBU - I had exactly the same argument with my dh regarding ds1 (10 yrs ago). Just read your post out to him and he got all grumpy - said he didn't know what I was talking about...

I remember it so clearly, him, back from work, saying if you give him 1 remote, he will think it's ok to mess around with them all blah blah. I think I told him that if he was sole carer for anything longer than 15mins he'd soon be 'giving in' like that.
