I'm not saying I mind, or that they shouldn't, I just wonder why?

I get it if they're about to become a parent or TTC, but there do seem to be a few who post along the lines of I don't have DC, but..... Why is this site of interest to them?

If you haven't already, NEVER, EVER google 'blue waffles'.....

WannaBeMarryPoppins · 17/08/2011 23:44

  3. now an Aunty so its useful to read up

  5. its like the best 10pm chat leanibg against the gate/shed door/fence with a coffee/stiff drink ever :)

pixie I was here as a childless teen far too many years ago and flounced because I got flamed for daring to say I had no children.
It lasted, well, not very long before I reregistered! There's loads here for everyone and tbh noone knows or cares whether you have/had/are trying to have children or not unless you happen to post on specific topics.

PixiePrincess · 17/08/2011 23:54

fraktious, thats a shame :( at least you came back though :) tbh, I find most of the topics very informative and I like reading the rants etc. so I finally plucked up the courage to register Grin

TinyWeeTeethGreatBigBite · 17/08/2011 23:54

How offensive! Some of my best friends and family don't have children.

Pan · 17/08/2011 23:59

s'your own fault, wanna!!

TinyWeeTeethGreatBigBite · 18/08/2011 00:02

Fraktious that's bloody terrible!

Probably wasn't anything to do with children and they were just jealous of your youth.

As I am jealous of teens

The OP is fishing for compliments (and getting them).

PixiePrincess · 18/08/2011 00:12

TinyWeeTeeth You shouldn't be jealous, I've got to collect my A level results today and I'm too scared to sleep! Hmm

TinyWeeTeethGreatBigBite · 18/08/2011 00:18

Oh best of luck pixie, my fingers and toes are crossed for you x

PixiePrincess · 18/08/2011 00:21

Thank you! :) Grin

exoticfruits · 18/08/2011 08:05

My alter-ego posted on here a few times. Surely if a non-existential being can post then surely any being can. < invites a wholly erroneous debate from MN existentialists>

HopeEternal · 19/08/2011 00:48

Pan, you are being mischievous this evening, aren't you??

Pan · 19/08/2011 00:57

of course, Hope. Pan was a Greek bad boy.Smile

Thumbwitch · 19/08/2011 01:00

Pan, my DS would say that Pan wasn't a bad boy, he was a cheeky boy. He has grades of naughtiness, my DS.

ChippingIn · 19/08/2011 01:06

PixiePrincess - how were your results?? We can do celebrations or commiserations!!

Pan · 19/08/2011 01:07

thumb, perhaps when ds learns of the truths behind all of the myths we knew as children, he will know what cheeky really means.Grin

I stumbled across this website a couple of years ago while Googling something. I don't have children and, sadly, never will, but I love all the stuff in Chat, AIBU, Feminism, In the News, etc. Obviously I don't read the specific parenting topics, but there's enough here to engage anyone's interest without reading those threads.

(Mind still boggling at the 4.3% statistic.)

exoticfruits · 19/08/2011 08:32

Do let us know Pixie-hope you have been out celebrating- but I'm sure that we have inspiring stories of those who did well from disappointing results.
