i love it. so funny. don't envy them as they are insecure and shallow but great to watch. not sure what foreclosure is though? quite a few seem to lose their houses and downsize

Foreclosure is when the bank takes back your home because you can't afford the payments on it.

Foreclosure is when you can't make the repayments (mortgage) on your house & the lender takes house back. The British equivalent terms elude me this morning (not had enough caffeine yet).

I think I'll have to bow out of thread because it is winding me up. Of course you lot are all too clever to be so deluded, but it sounds like yet more stupid tripe TV that pushes the message that all Americans are rich & shallow. When I first came to Europe I had so many people (various ages & nationalities) saying to me, very sincerely, "It's all like Dynasty where you live, isn't it?" Meanwhile my relatives can't afford to own a car and spend their time fishing aluminum cans out of the garbage to get a few pennies, hey ho. :(

I love watching this too, but always seem to fall asleep so never get to grips with who is who. I know Peggy is the walking corpse and Vicki is the only one that seems to work hard at a real business.

I think the people that appear on Judge Judy are probably a more real representation of American woman though, sadly.

I have only seen a bit of them. But one I saw I found really sad. One woman was sad her mother didn't spend time doing her hair and make up and felt she had more important things to do with her time. She was having lunch with her mother telling her how lucky she was to have such good skin and so few wrinkles but then was paying for her to go and have botox!? The mother was going along with it and no idea why. But if the woman has beautiful skin why the hell are you paying someone to inject chemicals into her face - leave the poor woman alone!!

Watched it this morning. Yes, TragicallyHip I also did have a slight obsession with it . In fact it was the only programme I watched on TV. I would like to live like that for a while - minus the workouts and diets and plastic surgery and botox of course, that part would get on my nerves.

I love Real HWof OC, I skyplus it and DH tell me I watch utter shite rubbish. I have mixed feelings of Tamra. Sometimes I like her and felt a bit sorry for her kids when she was having problems with Simon but he is a control freak. which is really funny because Vicki was calling him a control freak and can't see that she tries to control everyone else!! The episode where Tamra pushes Jeana is on tmrw.. Happy watching
