Got back from holiday last night, the food was vile on the flight out and even worse on the way back.

my friend always orders a kosher meal. he is jewish but other times quite happy to eat a bacon butty, when i have travelled with him his food is always much nicer than mine (though i am not a huge fan of kosher food) i may opt for vegetarian next time

Amen to that, DizzyKipper, but I get the feeling that the elderly are just not 'sexy viewing', probably not his decision but I'd like to see a wider spread of action rather than the same old format time and again.

JackieBauer · 17/08/2011 13:33

I would be so happy to be able to afford a holiday that I wouldn't care what the food was like :)

I don't know LWITW, I think the British people in general quite liking getting enraged about things - and the food they serve can be very enraging! I may actually write him/his agent/whoever an email to suggest this as if nothing else he did do really well at making more people aware of the shocking standards of food in schools.

Jackie got to agree with you, I've never even been on a plane before! Not been on holiday anywhere since I was 13 (unless we include going to Kent to see the future FIL, which I don't quite see as them same). [mopey sigh]

upgrade, then you at least get a menu

Food for the elderly would be a great campaign but alas, not sexy Sad

I have only been on a flight once - Easyjet to Spain. It was interesting to see a school exercise book balanced on the nose of the plane as we traipsed along to board. My friend kindly pointed it out how very professional it looked while I freaked out in terror.

Thankfully they did serve alcohol. Even at ten in the morning.

Oh we love them, it not gourmet and we don't expect that. Even pay for them as extras if they are not in the ticket price. Feel ever so sorry for the misers who haven't paid the extra.

I don't want someone making them healthy, they always serve a pud and a white bread roll.

pointydog · 17/08/2011 13:51

Not a pressing issue though, is it. I mean, most people have aeroplane meals once a year at most. And they have other food options. It's not affecting their whole diet.
