to expect that all those who have expressed opinions on the lawlessness that is afflicting so many UK cities will have conveyed the views to their MPs?

Given that the House meets tomorrow for the sole purpose of debating this subject, have you taken the time to make your Member of Parliament aware of your opinion and will you be checking to ascertain whether s/he attended this important debate?

Do you think that mine will adopt my view then?

I say shoot the bastards.

squeakytoy · 10/08/2011 15:56

My MP is on twitter, and I have already noticed where his loyalties lie. Unfortunately.

BustySinclair · 10/08/2011 15:59

of course, no good moaning on a parenting forum is it if you dont let your views known to the politicians

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 10/08/2011 16:00

If your MP stands up and says 'one of my constituents is of the opinion that the bastards should be shot and I agree with them', it would reasonable to assume that your MP has taken your view on board Dogs. Grin

Have you twittered back squeaky?

worraliberty · 10/08/2011 16:02

My MP is on Facebook. It's getting easier and easier to convey our views/feelings to them.

LineRunner · 10/08/2011 16:04

I would more concerned with knowing whether my MP is still sunning him- or herself on a Mediterranean beach. Some won't even bother dragging their arses back to the UK for the parliamentary debate.

I think it's safe to assume they will all be competitively Outraged and Shocked.

carminagoesprimal · 10/08/2011 16:11

Have Sent an email and demanded a reply -

Angry of London.

great thread btw -

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 10/08/2011 16:12

The content of the debate is predictive script but, given that there have been no ash clouds, air control strikes, or other disruptions to national/internatonal travel in the past few days, IMO it is incumbent on all who've ranted expressed their opinions on this site to check that their MP has got his/her bum on the benches tomorrow and name and shame any absentees here.

UK cities? I thought this particular lawlessness was only happening in England and not the rest of the UK?

KatieScarlett2833 · 10/08/2011 16:29

I haven't. No rioting here in Scotland.

larry5 · 10/08/2011 16:31

No rioting in Scotland or Wales yet.

ihatecbeebies · 10/08/2011 16:31

Yeah same here Katie*

Flowerista · 10/08/2011 16:33

Point well made OP have just done it. DOG who is your MP, will LOVE it if they were to represent your view!

CaptainNancy · 10/08/2011 16:40

My MP has been working most of the summer so far, and has certainly been highly visible in his constituency for the past week.

I think many of his constituents have expressed their views poor git.

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 10/08/2011 16:44

Great link crazy... it'll only take a minute for anyone who's vented taken time to respond on this site to copy their response and forward it to their MP.

OP posts:
LineRunner · 10/08/2011 16:51

I've got my MP's mobile phone number

carminagoesprimal · 10/08/2011 16:51
