Thanks for the Burton's tip, I got trousers and shirts there today, masses of choices and sizes. Grin

coccyx · 11/08/2011 19:59

No i would not touch a 'bundle' . too many kids wearing the same coat!!

AgentProvocateur · 11/08/2011 20:14

You're welcome. I'll be going in on Saturday to stock up. If your DC has a Young Scot card, they get 10% off too. (Which is no good for you now, but worth bearing in mind for the next time. )

MissVerinder · 11/08/2011 20:15

Buy the bundle first so you know you've got it, and then return the other stuff.

YADNBU x

MissVerinder · 11/08/2011 20:16

Cool, glad they took it back. You could always customise the coat if you were so minded.

"I never explain myself well, but if I buy something and am perfectly happy with it or need it for a certain date as in a school uniform, then it would send me into a panic, and add to my anxiety if I was to return it just to save money. I'd rather have the knowledge that I had the things I needed ready for whatever the occasion.

That to me, is worth far more than saving a few quid."

zukiecat - I'm with you all the way on this. To me it's stress and confrontation and I just don't need that. I hate shopping for anything but food - I can't wait to just get what I need, pay for it and get out of the shop.

fluffywhitekittens · 11/08/2011 21:20

I have done this before when I. Got a load of clothes delivered and then had an e mail, the next day, informing me of the 20 % discount on all items. But I do take into count fuel costs and how much I'm saving.

kittensliveupstairs · 12/08/2011 07:46

I am going to take DD to Tesco this evening to get a bundle. She is excited by the word and doesn't actually realise it's school clothing we are going for [evil]

scottishmummy · 12/08/2011 08:02

if you can do so,then yes do it

marriedinwhite · 12/08/2011 08:36

Of course you should do it. I once inadvertently found out that if you buy 3 for 2 in M&S and have to take one or two items back you get a full refund for that item - I even questioned it with customer services but they said it was the only way the system could handle it. I ended up £15 up.

scottishmummy · 12/08/2011 08:42

for richer, for poorer,in sickness and in health
ring any bells,op?

senua · 12/08/2011 08:42

I understand you, OP.
You can practically set your watch by the Debenhams Blue Cross Sales / 10% off offer. Why would anyone shop there when it wasn't BCS-time? Crazy policy!Confused

HauntedLittleLunatic · 12/08/2011 09:00

Sorry scottishmummy, I am not sure I understand the relevance of wedding vows to this thread.

Kittensliveupstairs - offer ended.instore midnight tues here. Still available online tho.

really?pretty clear richer and poorer
not rich and richer is it
the overlying principle is union and partnership through good tomes and adversity. not well aye i'll take the good and big house.but no bad.and no lifestyle dip

scottishmummy · 12/08/2011 09:05

HLC,apologies.completely wrong post,doh

HauntedLittleLunatic · 12/08/2011 09:10

That was the confusing part you had already agreed with me, and then seemed to be digging at me with a sarcastic post I didn't understand!
