I am so sorry that your no2 mum has been diagnosed with a terminal illiness, but no medic or any other individual can accurately predict anyone's date of death.

No amount of time is sufficient for us to say a final goodbye to our loved ones, but please take your cue from her - she may need others around her who are upbeat and cheerful to brighten her remaining days and, from what you've said about her, she ain't going anywhere without one hell of a fight.

So many of us die suddenly, unexpectedly, with no time to arrange our affairs or tell our loved ones what is truly in our hearts. I hope you will take some consolation from the fact that you and your no.2 mum have been given the precious gift of being able to reveal the contents of your hearts when saying your fiinal farewells.

How awful. I had a similar experience when my sister passed away. She passed away in her sleep. She had an undiagnosed cancer. Its hard to believe that's possible but sadly it happens.
