DS1 (4.3) was there whilst I was changing this evening.
'mummy what's that tummy on your back'

'mummy I can see your tuppy... Big hairy tuppy ugh'
'mummy you really are a bit fat like a great big panda'.
Admit I am at the upper end of my weight range but talk about brutally honest....

Haaaaaaaa, DCdo tend to be brutally honest don't they.

My DD1 (3.9) came into my bedroom the other day whilst I was getting dressed and said 'mummy your belly looks like jelly when you move' and then 'why does your belly and bum have lots of lines on them mummy?'

DH walked off sniggering Grin

chipmonkey · 08/08/2011 00:26

Oh, yes, yesterday, ds4 told me my boobies were falling down! I do dislike the truth!

PeppermintPanda · 08/08/2011 00:33

DD2 (3.11) has told me, very admiringly and more than once, "you've got lots of spots mummy!". Thank you darling.

This evening she said "This is my life. What are you doing here mummy?!" ...er, not too sure what to make of that one actually... Confused

musttidyupmusttidyup · 08/08/2011 07:12

when DS was 4 he once said: 'my goodness Mummy, your bottom is so BIG!'.

He sounded so impressed though, I couldn't take offence.

EttiKetti · 08/08/2011 07:40

My eldest announced to the world that mummy has LONG boobies, at a similar age Hmm

Shutupanddrive · 08/08/2011 09:18

Ds1 told my sister her belly had fallen out when she bent down to get something off the floor! Blush

vvviola · 08/08/2011 09:26

DD (4) recently when I was putting on my bra.

  • looks at me, looks down at her own chest - DD: Mummy, why are yours big and mine are small? me: ummm... DD (without really waiting for an answer): but they are huge Mummy. Huge. Huge. Daddy, aren't they huge?

I quietly thanked my lucky stars that she hadn't decided to have the conversation at the swimming pool instead....

rogersmellyonthetelly · 08/08/2011 09:30

My kids both agreed a couple of years ago that mummy cuddles are best because daddy is all bony and knobbly and mummy is nice and soft and squishy. Last week dd (5) said you need to get some of those special pants to hold your tummy in because it's a little bit wobbly and it all falls out over the top of your trousers. She was very matter of fact about it, and I did say she was quite right, but that the reason it was all wobbly and fat was because I have been eating too many biscuits had to carry her and her big brother round in there for 9 months.
I have since enrolled in ww.

I read in a childs weekend report at school that in the swimming changing rooms she asked mummy 'why when she had a little bottom she wore big knickers and when mummy had such a big bottom she wore little knickers but when offered mummy didn't want to swap'.
I get told lots that I am covered in spots - they are freckles!

foreverondiet · 08/08/2011 16:35

DS1 said this to me (when DS2 was 6 month old), 10 months on I've lost almost 4 stone and now have BMI of just over 20, body fat of under 18%. And yes I now need to changed my name as I am at target.

re: the hair, I have invested in an homedics me. It was my treat to myself for losing the weight.

musttidyupmusttidyup · 08/08/2011 16:59

Well done forever that's bloody fantastic! Smile

Online WW is good too, mustidyup! Seize the day... sign up tonight!

Congrats on the weight loss forever! The homedics me looks to be one serious piece of kit, is it painful?

musttidyupmusttidyup · 08/08/2011 19:45

Have seized the day spaniel. Have taken the step of announcing I'm on a diet which means I'm serious because I don't want to look like a dick Blush.

Apparently I once told my mum when she was bending over the bath that she looked like Sadsack from the Raggy Dolls in the episode where all his stuffing had been knocked out. I.e. rolls of excess skin Blush

KimberlyClark · 08/08/2011 19:55

loudly in the supermarket yesterday

"mummy your boobies are hanging out of your top"

what dd2 actually meant was a discreet amount of bra strap was visible

a few onlookers seemed disappointed

Angry
stigofthedump · 08/08/2011 21:55

Haha, loving these. My ds(5) said last week "its okay mummy, if you run really fast like me you will lose your fat, but i'm afraid you'll still have to be 43"

SayItLoud · 08/08/2011 22:01

Candr, that's fab!

milliemae · 08/08/2011 22:28

In queue at supermarket in Oz a few years ago, behind man with cute little daughter in trollet seat. Caught little girl's eye, whereon she announced in a VERY loud voice, "My Dad's got a hairy willy!"

chipmonkey · 10/08/2011 00:29

i am pregnant atm so there has been a lot of talk of babies in tummies in our house. Ds4 patted my tummy and said "Mammy, you have a baby" then patted dh's beer-belly and said "And you have a baby too, Daddy!"
I was Grin
Dh was Hmm
