Its the bickering,
Ive only got one kid and so we have had other people kids round quite allot so far and all they do is bicker and argue and then they come and whine around us reporting each other.

Its making me tired. How do you all keep your marbles when you ahve several of the buggers belonging to you & others????
I cheerfully wave to dh (teacher so off for the duration) as i skip down the drive to work thanking God for inventing employment!

TBH was dreading it for 3 weeks prior, seriously getting worried but hey presto have been having a ball. On week 4 now and although very tired, have had some amazing days out everyday; picnics, walks on the beach all sorts...

And my two youngest (12 and 14) are very severely learning disabled and bigger than me! Cannot really do anything that 'normal' kids do, cannot be left alone for a minute and need watching/supervising/doing everything for them etc from 5am when they get up to 10pm when they go to bed.
They don't play, draw pictures, write, read or anything and cannot be reasoned with but they're my little angels and we've spent some fantastic time together...so far!

It's amazing the imagination I have developed having two kids who need you to do absolutely everything for them. Yesterday we went sailing, today the cinema with another SLD friend from their school.
Husband has the easy job, he goes to (paid!) employment but I get to have much more fun!

we've only had a week and a half, with 3 weeks, 4 days left. It's not long enough :( we've not even broken into the arts cupboard yet. I feel cheated f summer holiday length this year. so much lounging about to do and so little time.

Memoo · 07/08/2011 22:50

My marbles are in a tub on top of the fridge so I don't lose them.

Dawnybabe · 07/08/2011 22:52

Had a few arguments, sulked a bit, bored now.

That's me and the kids.

It's not too bad- except I can't seem to unglue ds1 from the xBox. He doesn't want to go and meet friends and he's not very interested in the few things I've come up with which might entertain a teenager (him) and a three year old (ds2).

Still, off on holiday on Saturday and when we get back ds1 is going to his father's so I won't have Guilt about him not getting Fresh Air or having a Fun Time. Just the small one to occupy then...

Not doing well as ds has been poorly so has been unable to go to holiday club, going out anywhere is tricky (he has severe diarrhoeaSad) and he is totally fed up, as am I.

Not too bad tbh.

So far had a few forest trips and dd's been horseriding, then to Blackpool for ice skating/the fair with her youth club. We went back to Blackpool for two days to get out of the builders way to the zoo/fair

Then dd was off to Kepplewray overnight with her youth club.

Went to my brothers for the weekend, found a fab park that kept the kids happy. Just got back now atch tho ds is in Liverpool with dp until tmw, they're doing the museums I think.

Then NEXT weekend we're off to Drayton manor for two nights, then dd has a sleepover at youth club, the boy's sleeping at his respite carers and then onto Chester zoo.

Have a few things on in between, swimming, cinema etc and hoping to try go ape. Seems to have gone quite quick tbh, before I know they'll be back in school and i'll be streaking round the streets to celebrate Wink
