I have heard that spray bleach can be effective in an absence of other remedies.

I remember arriving at work with my dog when one of the little shites stung me on the earlobe then got stuck in my curly hair. Cue a wildly flailing, dancing moi howling in distress with a sixth month old lab leaping excitedly up at me.

My boss came out, grasped my lovely dog by the scruff and gave her a smack for "attacking" me then gave me a row for not controlling my dog.

I have disliked wasps ever since. Feckin stripey assassins.

I got stung in Jaunary by a queen, they hibernate in my airing cupboard!
The Queen really knows how to sting but without them we wouldn't have any fruit on our trees as they are the ones that pollinate the fruit trees. They are also good at getting rid of road kill.

Did you know that if you kill one they give off a pheromone that makes the others come look for the danger?

I refuse to believe they are the only insects capable of pollinating fruit trees- loads of flying nectar sucking creepies there are, most of which don't sting!!

Besides, if they are so busy pollinating trees, how have they got time to ruin BBQs and picnics and to go around sneaking into houses and cars, stinging folk? they are therefore rubbish at the job and should be sacked.

I was just reading this thread, and a tiny moth flew at me.. I just jumped out of my bloody skin and screamed...

fooking nasty things...just wait until one gets behind your glasses. My nose is big enough thanks, I dont need five stings on it!
