DD is 17 months old, she is so bright, funny and understands what she is asked so well!

So today we had-

"DD please stop feeding sand to the hamster"
"DD please can you put the worm down and let him sleep"

Seriously, AIBU to want my tiny scrunched up baby back?

bahHumPug Yes I did LOL Grin

Yes that baby smell and the nice I am protecting you feeling is out of this world. But so is the curiosity stage as they are innocently learning and always facinated about new sights and people is wonderful too x

"had never seen an advert for lelli kelli shoes or zhu zhu pets"

My daughter is yet to see one - Cbeebies is thankfully totally advert free.

Sadly dd has outgrown cbeebies and watches French tv.

Not only is DD now old enough to go on the swings, but DS is old enough to say "I don't go on the baby swings now, because my legs are so nice and long" and then to take over pushing DD while she giggles.

Mixed feelings about all this - obv it is lovely but also, I remember DS's first ever time on the swings like it was yesterday, and can't believe those days are GONE.

And yes Brigade, when it comes to leaving their wonderful nursery behind forever, I might have to throw myself under a bus.

Bahhumpug I did actually once loose DD, she had learnt to roll and decided to roll UNDER the sofa! I spent ages in a panic and was looking everywhere.. who would of thought under the sofa.. My lovely mum suggested it. DD was fine chatting away to her dribbly self..

I did come close to calling the police.. 'kidnapped baby found under sofa' imagine the headlines!

AHH cbeebies.. the total baine of my life at the moment all i get is beebies mama beebies Angry

saggyold that actually made me tear up a little bit Sad

IAmTheCookieMonster · 05/08/2011 22:31

I agree!!! 15 month ds had me in tears today with constant whining for no reason - I had to ring DH at work I was in such a state! It was so much easier when he was tiny before the 4 month sleep regression, and I could put him down knowing he'd be there when I got back!

When DS was 3 months old a lady in the street stopped me to say "enjoy him while he isn't mobile" and that is the best piece of advice I have ever been given!!!

cookie, i so agree.. whining is worse than tantrums i think
