To not understand why this didn't make it on the news?

On Friday, a local man was stabbed and beaten. Luckily he survived. From what I've been told, the beating was deserved, though no-one deserves to be stabbed

Yesterday, one of the men that beat him was also stabbed. He received 10 wounds, mostly to the neck and face. He is stable but critical and it doesn't look good. I know both men, and I'm pretty upset by it all

But why hasn't it made it on the news, not even locally? I just don't understand. Its not like its a regular or normal occurence round here. Is it such a normal thing these days that it doesn't warrant being on the news?

Thanks for explaining that to me Cog.

The OP wanted it to be in the local paper. I was giving her one possibility why it wasn't and what she might do to remedy that.

Maybe the family don't want it in the newspaper and are glad it's not- have you thought of that. If they did surely they would tell the media themselves.

That was my thoughts Scurry, I never saw anything apart from the aftermath, and that wasn't pretty.

I get your point Cogito, but that is what saddens me, that its happening so often that nobody flinches!

Limited, its not that I want it in the local paper, that isn't printed til today anyway, but I would have thought it would have been on local radio news at least

Paddy, I hadn't thought of that side of it, thank you. I don't I will be the one to make the call, for the reason if nothing else. Will just wait and see what comes out if anything
