to think that Morrissey is an absolute prat?

All I'm saying Joric is he's minted, he doesnt need to come out with any of this stuff but he does because he thinks the thing with animal treatment is wrong - which it is - and he has a slightly madcap way of making his point. And at least he isnt like every other tedious, boring pop singer who would just put some pointless woolly press release out about the issue which would bore us all to tears.

I do understand thisfantasti But I'm not one for controversial means...
The press the cause gets is worthless from him (and others like him).
For every person who is enlightened , there will be another who is put off supporting..
Thus cancelling any 'new support' out.
He might as well say nothing.

He genuinely believes that meat is murder, and killing animals is as bad as killing humans, so this is a logical thing for him to say, whether you agree with him or not.

Haven't read the link - but I wouldn't form my opinions about ANYBODY based on what The Daily Wail has to say about them tbh.

Yes he says some stupid things and his isn't really a voice to listen to now, be it for his views or his solo music BUT I will forgive him a lot because of the sheer brilliance of The Smiths. :)

thisfantastic, I agree, meat IS murder, I'm a veggie too so I totally understand what he was getting at, if a bit extreme.. it wasn't the best thing to say at the moment obviously but he's never been the subtle type.

We went to see him in concert earlier this month - he completely ruined it by ranting about "William and Kate" and animal rights, people were laughing at him rather than with him by the end.
I wanted to wear a Lady Gaga meat dress just to spite him.

His shoes looked like leather to me.

He ended the gig by saying "Stoke on trent - where the men are men and the women are men too" Fucking idiot. Angry

Even DH, who is a massive fan, thinks he's a prat now.

I've always thought he was a tit, to be honest, and every time he opens his mouth these days he just proves me more right.

Have always hated his music, the Smiths' music, and his voice too. And he's never been nearly as funny or clever as he thinks.

It is not the DM picking up on it -like most papers they just rehash what is already all over the social media sites. Lazy journalism to fill space (at some point the DM will run out of money and we will all be saved!).
And has been said before but he is on tour/maybe a record coming out (the complete smiths collection collectors edition has been muted -high ticket item and will sell very well -still a lot of 40+ smiths fans hanging on to their youth out there) etc etc

Morrissey being a twat is hardly news! Ask the man himself, I'm sure he'd agree that he is.
But if he believes in his point, he is free to say so. I defend his right to say how he feels.
