At Witsun Holiday we treated ourselves to a Romahome so we can tour the country with the LOs this summer.Well we're all packed up and off to dicsvoer Scotland tomorrow morning and arriving home for the augustBH. Yippee.sounds great or so i thought - but no hear goes ---
I was driving round with DH today getting the last few things and we stopped off at a cashpoint,as DH got the pounds, I just wiled away the time looking around and saw the horrendus sight that the van is to big to get under the barriers at KFC,so I'm guessing its to big for Maccy D's as well.
What are we gonna do? The LOs love eating in the van its a right treat for them and we put a dvd on the ICE for them to stoke back and relax.I hate cooking lol so we have about one a day cos the girls like them.
This has really put me off this style of holiday. Ffs bloody hub was all his idea lol.
I'm right cross would yoube?

worraliberty · 28/07/2011 23:31

Apparently it's a namby pamby website full of women who like to 'invade' MN with inane wind up threads.

Wink
mycatsaysach · 28/07/2011 23:32

seb1 · 28/07/2011 23:39

Lots of large area of Scotland don't have a McDs etc where we were on holiday the fish and chip van came once a week Grin

erynsmum · 28/07/2011 23:39

NM is full of 'I'm right, you are wrong', 'you are a terrible mother', 'children must NEVER eat sausage rolls' types!
Have yourself a wee look, you'll be back in a flash!!

If this had been posted on there then the OP would have been called a troll and most likely banned!!

youarekidding · 28/07/2011 23:55

ROFL Grin

OrdinaryJo · 29/07/2011 01:00

OP as I is a Scottish. What is it that you are wishing to discover? I am glad your LOs like eating in the van, fear not, we have these things called "chippies" where you can buy proper food an that even if you have a high-top. It's alright like. Is your hub a ginger though ?

Thruaglassdarkly · 29/07/2011 01:13

Stock up on treat-sized Haribos instead so the kids won't notice their lack of burgers. Will keep up their blood sugar levels. You and DH could crack open a few tinnies whilst you're driving to keep up yours. Bingo! Partytime - excellent! Wink

Thruaglassdarkly · 29/07/2011 01:16

TBF - if my DH came up with such a shite idea, I'd defo drag him through the divorce courts and fleece him for every penny...

hittheroadjakki · 29/07/2011 13:29

divorce, lol, thats harsh!but I am still cross that he didn't think it fully thru.
Haribos a good idea thanks for that.

Threads like this are meant to be funny, aren't they?

Blethermouse · 29/07/2011 21:37

Get hoisted out of the van and dangle in front of the window to make your order from the hoist
Strange to use Whitsun and stoke in same post
must be a big van tho

AmazingBouncingFerret · 29/07/2011 21:43

Google the branch telephone number as you arrive, that way you can pull into the nearest disabled space and phone through your order and get them to bring it out to you. Problem solved.

carriedababi · 29/07/2011 21:56

lol, well you made me lol anyway opGrin

yes post it on nertmums and link on here, give us a laugh

QuintessentialShadow · 29/07/2011 22:02

The AA has actual published a special "Junk Food across The British Isles" this year, and to your luck they have a section where they especially list barrier heights (for campervans and lorries). There is an Ipad and Iphone app, so you could actually plot your route from your home, making your holiday a junk food crawl if you wish, as it will filter out those places where your vehicle wont fit!

Hmm Are you sure you are not really posting to market this? The App is launched in the app store this week, you should pay for an ad like the rest!! [anger]

In fact I will report your thread to mnhq myself this minute.
