I don't get what the fuss is about, tbh Confused

LineRunner · 15/07/2011 12:45

I looked.

That's two minutes of my life I'm never getting back.

bananamam · 15/07/2011 12:45

yabu

squeakytoy · 15/07/2011 12:48

SM, I wasnt competing for an award for "worst thing ever linked". I wasnt aware there was a challenge.

If I had seen an article entitled "models of gay men in pseudo nazi uniform engage in anal sex" I would probably not have clicked on the article, but as it was not supposedly going to have that sort of content in it, I didnt expect to see such a sight.

I must admit to being a bit Hmm as to what gets classed as "modern art" these days, and think a lot of it is over-rated pretentious bollocks...

doggiesayswoof · 15/07/2011 12:49

Oh, is this supposed to be shocking, challenging modern art? Or are they just trying to upset DM readers?

It reminds me of Nathan Barley. And the DM printing the pic with the comment "Risque" is pretty funny.

MissBeehiving · 15/07/2011 12:50

It's ART innit? Grin

And it is FRIDAY after all, so perfectly acceptable for bumsex.

biddysmama · 15/07/2011 12:51

i like it Blush

disclaimer the 'art' not bumsex, im too tired for regular sex never mind anything else

MsTeak · 15/07/2011 12:52

Its more interesting than anything else in that "article". And seriously, if thats what turns your stomach most in Mein Kampf the Daily Mail, I'd suggest you've got bigger problems.

squeakytoy · 15/07/2011 13:02

Look..

Its friday, and I thought I would take a more cultured and poncy approach to the Friday Bum Sex theme...

Grin Wink

Right, off to do me gardening now before it pisses it down...

mn and dm is interesting relationship.majority berate its content and overall its considered vile blah di blah.all indignation and look at this. yet it is the singularly most linked paper on mn?i dont see the others papers getting a daily link and discussion about content

therefore, one can only conclude lots of you love it so.yet know its not done thang.so read it,link it and then berate its content.your guilty pleasure.trying to keep face.read it,but loathe it so..

JanMorrow · 15/07/2011 13:14

Crude image? Jesus Christ..

scottishmummy · 15/07/2011 13:15

the art installation so innocuous i overlooked it

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 15/07/2011 13:17

If the DM had printed a 'ban this Nazi bumsex filth' article and the OP had said she'd accidentally read it at the hairdressers etc, what bastards the DM are, "blah di blah", then scottishmummy, yr comments would be justified.

But the OP has come on here, held up her hands and said she reads the DM because she enjoys gawping at slebs and bashing immigrants upholding traditional British values. And on that basis, she doesn't expect Nazi bum sex in her paper (at least without a ban-this-filth fig leaf), and I guess that's actually fair enough so. YANBU then.

DogsBestFriend · 15/07/2011 13:25

They're models. Mannequins. Allegedly "art" though I'd dispute that. Nothing to make a fuss about.

They. Are. Not. Real.

scottishmummy · 15/07/2011 14:19

nazi bum sex to dm indignant types.well yes it fits the constant haze of indignation id expect from dm devotees.

or tbh an innocuous art installation

porcamiseria · 15/07/2011 14:23

FFS its the daily mail! what did you expect?

scottishmummy · 15/07/2011 14:25

robingood19 · 15/07/2011 14:48

yea saw it on tv last night. Bit of a shocker

CQrrrneee · 15/07/2011 14:51

Donna Air is an actress/model?

scottishmummy · 15/07/2011 22:32

i dont know who donna air is

Tchootnika · 15/07/2011 22:49

You mean Chapman bros thing? yeah, yeeaahh... But have a think about it: Google Tom of Finland...
It's been done before, it aint that original, but it's a point worth making (again and again? possibly...) about these macho cults that take in many millions of people (usually young, frustrated, impressionable men)...
IKWYM - when I saw this in ES earlier today I was annoyed that big fish contemporary art (if that's what it can really be called) wasn't more original, complex and engaging, but oddly this OP has made me think about this again and reassess it... and look at it in a more positive light.
maybe I'll feel differently tomorrow, though.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 15/07/2011 22:58

Oh fuck, that just made me choke on my bit of crumpet

DuelingFanjo · 15/07/2011 23:00

yabu, it's art.

dolldaggabuzzbuzz · 15/07/2011 23:15

I laughed. LOL! Disclaimer: I am a philistine.

catgirl1976 · 16/07/2011 06:32

Not offensive. Blah and a bit rubbish but not really offensive. I don't think the Daily Mail is an family newspaper though. I imagine whatever was on the first 10 pages was offensive and unsuitable for children, but the installation is just a bit shit.
