To think some people on here are very naive regarding trolls?

And that there should be a list of common "weird fetishes" which trolls come here to discuss?

The 2nd tickling thread for instance...not Chaos's one...but the one which asks odd questions about tickling....I knew (as did some others) that is was dodgy right away...but people here seem to be impervious to questions like "Should boys be ticklish? Up to what age?" And asking for "stories" about things....how can people not know that there are some weirdo's with fetishes about the strangest things out there?

Of course there have been instances where everyone has shouted troll at an innocent poster....but that will always happen on forums....I HATE that perves and weirdo's come here and get jollies because so many people are so innocent about the oddness that is part of humanity.

It puts me right off.

i just think it's a bit harsh calling someone slow or naive because their troll-dar isn't as high grade as some others

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:25

That's what I mean usual there should be a basic guide to troll-spotting. Their favourite haunts and hobbies. Grin

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:26

Slow on the uptake Ironing its hardly harsh.

mumbling, there is another optiion... perhaps people see that other people are suspicious, but CHOOSE to keep posting? because they want to?

really, you think you are a fab troll-spotter. well good for you. you can avoid threads you believe are started by trolls and report them to MN.

the rest of us may also think the same, but want to answer anyway

or we might just be "slow" and not get it cos we're so young and stupid Hmm and want to answer

while there are forums there will be trolls. there is really no need to act so superior and look down on other people just because you've decided they're slow and have less life experience than you.

HalfTermHero · 14/07/2011 18:27

Dizzymare was the most pathetic misery troll I ever saw. look out for shit like 'but I can't take the most obviously rational cause of action and stay with my parents so that I can rest because they don't have internet connection and I really value my internet friends etc'. What a load of fucking bullshit - obvious and crap misery trolling. Who chooses the internet over their unborn babies' health? Troll, Troll, Troll......

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:27

Okey dokey.

OP posts:
MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:28

Halftem that kind of thing is SO weird.

OP posts:
catinthehat2 · 14/07/2011 18:28

Given that MN probably can't get the thread down quicker than the 20second wank requirement of the dedicated perve, probably worth saying something on the thread as well as reporting. Might save someone having to wash in bleach after getting sucked in?

diddl · 14/07/2011 18:31

I´m crap at spotting trolls.

Too trusting, me.

Doesn´t really occur to me that people can be bothered to do do such things.

HalfTermHero · 14/07/2011 18:31

Yes, it is so weird that it is obvious, iykwim.

Tee2072 · 14/07/2011 18:32

Some of us like baiting trolls. It's fun.

I didn't see the tickling thread, I don't think, so can't speak to whether or not someone was 'getting off' on stories on tickling but it doesn't really bother me if they were. Some people get off on looking at shoes online, should Clarks take all of their pictures off their website?

It's a big internet.

nokissymum · 14/07/2011 18:32

I am one of those that replied innocently on the tickling thread, admittedly did not read through every single thread, but perhaps just not as "jaded" as some much much "older" posters Smile.

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:32

Some people do say things Catinthehat2 but then nobody frigging takes notice...and unlike thisisyesterday I think it's pretty sick to "want to answer anyway" when the questions are coming from a pervert.

Winds me up a bit .

OP posts:
MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:34

Tee you don't like baiting the perverts though? Feeding their sicko fantasies?

nokiss I haven't been using MN for long and haven't used other forums...I learned pretty fast.

OP posts:
AgentZigzag · 14/07/2011 18:35

If fetishes are seemingly irrational connections about totally mundane and normal objects/behaviours, then MN might as well just shut down if anyone's too worried about people getting off on what's written here.

There are plenty of non-subtle explicit stuff written if you could be arsed to look.

Good for you mumbling and your medal is on its way Smile.

usualsuspect · 14/07/2011 18:38

Its fun to wind them up though

I don't get all upset about trolls tbh

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:38

Well...that's the thing Agentz MAny common fetishes are begun in early childhood.....and so have to do with things connected to childhood...hence tickling, spanking, rubber....even cross dressing...they usually begin in early development and so are easy to spot...they're specific things...not always of course....but it's the way they post...

usually wanting to hear stories and they keep asking "Can anyone share a story about their child doing the same thing?" and it's normally a VERY specific thing. I HATE it. I hate that they come here.

OP posts:
HalfTermHero · 14/07/2011 18:38

You are right, Agent. I just replied to a thread about Pantyliners giving detail about how wet my pussy gets...... tbh though I don't care if that sort of thread is by a troll. No one is getting upset or offended by it (apart from Thingumy who now feels sick, lol).

MumblingRagDoll · 14/07/2011 18:39

usual don't you think there's danger in it? Winding them up...its feeding their fantasies which could incite worse behaviour no?

OP posts:
AgentZigzag · 14/07/2011 18:40

Is that a bona fide passive aggressive smile nokissy?

You're very good at it Grin

Ouch.

HalfTermHero · 14/07/2011 18:40

The thread about IVF/VB fear. I don't care if that one is a troll or not either.

thisisyesterday · 14/07/2011 18:40

not at all, i stand by what i said

it's perfectly reasonable that natalie could have a raging tickling fetish but ALSO be a mum of children who doesn't understand why we think it's so bad (because of her love of it)

she has not posted anything that has encouraged people to tell stories of anyone being tickled, she has just asked why we think it's so bad.

the fact that you have googled her user name and found it on a tickling forum does not mean she is a troll!

Tee2072 · 14/07/2011 18:40

mumbling it is entirely possible that this thread is getting someone off. Perhaps even the tickling thread person, because what all trolls actually thrive on is attention. Any kind. Good, bad or indifferent.

So you are actually part of the problem. Not part of the smug solution.

I've been on many message boards over the last 20 years. Trolls have always been around and always will be.
