it's the Walls' sausages one with the tiny dog inside a ring box (?) I just don't understand. What does it mean and why would it make me want to buy sausages? Confused

And this one if you like good music and perving on attractive men

discobeaver · 12/07/2011 22:05

Injust remembered I LOVE the Mikado one with the jousting office workers. Love it.

Good call, LilBB for the bloody Hooka Hooka one. Not totally inaccurate, but irritating nonetheless.
Ooooh ones I do love are the Yakult ones, listening to your gut. With the girl jogger and the guy in the barbers. Makes me smile.

HadAThreesomeWithFredAndGeorge · 12/07/2011 22:07

I hate the boots ones. It's the way they have tried to make characters that are in every advert, but they just change them to suit whatever they are selling that really bugs me. Where is the continuity people?!

KittyBump · 12/07/2011 22:09

Yes the co-op ones are awful, "why do one shop when you can do 12 less efficient ones spread throughout the entire week", rebranded as giving you more family and couple time!

LilBB · 12/07/2011 22:16

Also any 'SATC' ones like the Perle du Lait one I've just seen and the one for stool loostener.

KittyBump · 12/07/2011 22:17

Oh god yes the perle du lait one! Thanks for having us round for lunch we're all off to rifle through your drawers!

MynameisnotEarl · 12/07/2011 22:25

'Bollocks' Grin I love that advert.

LetUsPrey · 12/07/2011 22:31

rubyrubyruby - I love the "I'm on a horse" advert too. Is it for Old Spice?

Can't stand the bloody Pearle du Lait advert or whatever it is. Stupid stupid advert.

Has anyone seen the Coors adverts with Jean-Claude van Damme? Love them. But he's still a little bit creepy.

KittyBump · 12/07/2011 22:34

Oh yes, Jean-Claude with the talking nipples, don't quite get that one either, perhaps I'm just a bit simple :)

If I went round for a "girls' lunch" (boak) and the hostess slapped a four-pack of yoghurts on the table for pudding, I would be seriously underwhelmed.

catgirl1976 · 12/07/2011 22:39

God I hate the dog. And I don't get it. And if I was Mike Skinner I would sue them for all their nasty sausages. And I want to slap galaxy chocolate hiding woman and millicano woman. But I do want a soda stream because we didnt have one when I was little but my friend did and I am still Envy to this day.

Mumcentreplus · 12/07/2011 22:59

'Look at me...now look at your man' Grin

Mumcentreplus · 12/07/2011 23:00

'I don't like tea...I like Gin'...

Mumcentreplus · 12/07/2011 23:03

Personally I hate the freezer Bear

catgirl1976 · 12/07/2011 23:04

I think freezer bear is a pervert.

KittyBump · 12/07/2011 23:09

Yes the freezer bear, what's with the creepy music and monotone voice?
I love the gin one :)
I can't remember anymore adverts :(

manticlimactic · 12/07/2011 23:32

One shit.

It should be an advert for bog roll not kitchen roll.

DirtyMartini · 12/07/2011 23:44

What about the coffee one where the bloke comes in waggling the baby monitor and looking meaningfully at the woman and then they are overcome with the rampant lust they have just barely managed to hold back until naptime Hmm, but then just as they are about to shag on the kitchen table they are stopped in their tracks by the fear of spilling a drop of the damn coffee? Isn't that Millicano as well?

I honestly don't get it, it's just not very relatable surely? I mean I would love it if DP and I had the energy for rampant naptime shags at the weekend but tbh we are more likely to fall to the floor with exhaustion if the kids happen to sleep. Or we might fold some laundry.

KittyBump · 13/07/2011 08:15

ha, i haven't seen all these Millicano ones, they really do sound crap!

OP posts:
LilBB · 13/07/2011 08:37

I've just looked up the Millicano one with the vintage bike on You tube. It's the most patronising advert I've ever seen. The point seems to be 'I'm rich and better than you, you can't enjoy all the things I love but you can afford instant coffee that probably tastes the same as Kenco gold blend but we will charge you twice as much as you're buying a lifestyle not just a coffee'

HadAThreesomeWithFredAndGeorge · 13/07/2011 08:44

You know what? Millicano isn't even that nice

KittyBump · 13/07/2011 09:10

Oh god, i just watched the bike one and the baby monitor one! What a crock of shit! lilBB yes very patronising, meant to be aspirational no doubt but actually just gets your back up.

mamadivazback · 13/07/2011 09:29

Mantic - I used to giggle at the 'One shit' until my 4 year old started running around shouting 'one shit is plenty' everywhere we went... including a very quiet library Blush:o

Hate the Cheryl Cole ads - limp, lifeless and dried out... atleast she's honest about her life I guess!

Soda stream ad is annoying, I had one when I was a kid and they used to make me high as a kite lol so it lasted approximately a week in our house
