That'll do.

Coffee in the fridge. Sugar in the cupboard on the baking shelf. Tea... somewhere at the back of the cupboard as only guests and DS1 drinks it.

All in proudly different vessels. WE DO NOT MATCH IN THIS HOUSE.

Mine are unlabelled, but they have glass lids, which is lucky, because they get shuffled around according to who last made coffee/tea. They are arranged in a triangle, because if they are in a straight line, there isn't room for the kettle and the mug tree next to them.

The tea is currently in front, which means that DS made himself a cup while DH and I were out. If it had been DD, it would have been the sugar in front. Both DS and DD take sugar but they always leave the canisters shuffled differently.

I drink coffee without sugar, so I leave the coffee in front, whereas DH always tries to put them into a straight line, thus forcing the mug tree onto the edge of the sink. But I forgive him, because he has brought me a cup of coffee in bed every morning for 32 years.

well of course I would put the nutmeg and umami the other way round, but each to their own.
