Not that I think anything of myself at all! Honest.

But I've noticed a distinct difference in replies with this new name!

WHY?

I'm still me?

I'm still a twat!

oh yes..i also tried a change of moniker .but i found posting 'incognita' a bit like dogging. Voyeuristic, and not a good way to get to know people.

DogsBestFriend · 09/07/2011 23:49

Oddly I found that too. :o

EggyAllenPoe · 09/07/2011 23:51

namechanging or dogging ? DBF??

destructogirl · 10/07/2011 00:06

I like to type "I agree with poster" if I agree with the poster, it encourages people to say "I agree with someone" and eventually it comes around and people agree with me :)

ChaosMomsnet · 10/07/2011 13:57

Cunning plan Trills.

TrillianAuror · 10/07/2011 14:00

You're going to get told off for that name...

ChaosMomsnet · 10/07/2011 14:06

You reckon?

TrillianAuror · 10/07/2011 14:07

Well, it depends if you draw attention to yourself :o

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/07/2011 14:20

Meh.

Such a good girl and no balls.

ThumbsNoseAtSnapewitch · 10/07/2011 14:25

But is it a good change or a bad one, ABF DNTMS? See - your new name invites people to think flippantly of you.[hwink]

I know you, you know I do - don't know if you remember that though! [hgrin]

Rosmarin · 10/07/2011 15:08

I like your old name better - not because I don't like HP but because I love love love ferrets. :D

I suppose if you see a post and don't recognise the nick, you just judge it on what you read. If it is a name you remember having read before, you might have some kind of image of that poster already so view the post in light of that. For example if I saw a precious sounding IMO rather daft post and didn't know the nick, I would think it is someone who is precious and a bit daft. If I recognised the nick from other posts and knew that was, I don't know, maybe one of the lawyers who always has down to earth advice on marriage break-ups etc, I'd think she was having an off-day IYSWIM
