After numerous cock-ups and appalling customer service from an internet bathroom company, we ended up with 2 P-shaped baths in our kitchen (not installed, that would be weird!!). One is ever so slightly damaged (nothing serious), and so we had a 2nd one delivered, but they refused to take the 1st one away at the same time and said it would need to be a separate call-out.
They have called a few times to ask DH if he will open a trade account (he is a bathroom fitter) and he has told them No, he won't be dealing with them again, and can they come and get the bath. So far nothing has happened and they don't seem to be in a hurry to get their bath back. The 1st bath has now migrated to the garden so we can look like proper pikeys as it was becoming awkward to negotiate round 2 baths all the time. I can see it being there for evermore unless we get rid of it.
(They have already cocked up previous to this when they delivered the wrong bath entirely and said it was our fault. My DH drove it to their warehouse 100 miles away as they wouldn't pick it up, and then we had a whole issue trying to get the money back but we did eventually)
We want to just give it away on freecycle or something - it's a really nice bath and they're not cheap, there's nothing wrong with it really but it just isn't 'perfect' and we felt that for the money we were paying it should be. I am nervous of what would happen if they decide at a later date that they want it back. Are we within our rights to do that? We're not going to Leighton Buzzard again, and we're not waiting for any money back from them.
I am sick to death of this whole bathroom saga!!
