Not with you, sorry.

What is it?

catgirl1976 · 07/07/2011 19:07

Had to google it. But no, it doesn't look like a 4 year old would be too young.

roisin · 07/07/2011 19:15

We went when the boys were about 6 and 8 I think: they loved it. And they are real science geeks.

So, no it cannot possibly be "too young" for a 4 year old!

catgirl1976 · 07/07/2011 19:18

are you asking if it is too young for a 4 year old or if a four year old is too young for it? Am confused. Though neither looks to be true as they have a speical section for under 7s and the rest looks suitable for the 7 upwards age range so...??

youbethemummylion · 07/07/2011 19:24

was just wondering wether I'm expecting too little of my 4 year old as he loved the under 7's bit and enjoyed the other bit but I had to explain/simplify some of it. A friend went on my recommendation and said it was too young for her 4 year old and she was very dissapointed. Is her kid some sort of science prodigy or is mine under achieving?

we just took our 3 yo ds and he loved it! especially the wallace and gromit bit and thesoft play upstairs. he didn't want to leave Grin

flyingspaghettimonster · 07/07/2011 20:43

she's being a one-upper, ignore her. If the child felt he/she wasn't getting enough out of it, then she wasn't providing enough information. Like buggery can her 4 year old read everything in a museum and already know it all enough to be bored by it...

roisin · 07/07/2011 21:43

Maybe she missed 3/4 of the museum! I was fascinated by some of the stuff in there. There's always something new to understand, a new concept to grasp.

Ignore her, she sounds a bit precious.

wonkylegs · 07/07/2011 21:57

Well it appeals to my 36 yo DH and i'm the only person allowed to question his intellect so I think she's being precious and talking shite

EndoplasmicReticulum · 07/07/2011 22:56

I'm 37 and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't "too young" for me. Maybe the mum just didn't understand.

My SIL used to be like this: her pfb was always too old for anything. He is not notably more mature than any other child his age, but this was clearly important to her.
