Do I

a) pick up DD's from school and nursery as normal, bring them home and watch a bit of telly/play before making them tea, putting them to bed and then tidying up before DH gets home so we can chill OR

b) pick up DD's, take them to a soft play place, buy them tea there and leaving the house nice and tidy so I don't have to do anything after bringing them home.

One issue is that I cannot bathe them tonight properly, only flannel washes (are doing up bathroom) but they are only 3 and 5 so don't get sweaty.

a or b please, and quick! Schools out in an hour!

B, no contest, come home, flannel, dispatch, feet up . Sorted.

err, missed a comma there, you obviously do not want to put your feet up the wine.

I did B. Managed to have a coffee, read entire paper and some of my book while they ran around screeching like banshees. Just watching Baby Jake (D1's new obsession) and then bed. Sorted. And the kitchen is still clean

I did them this morning as now I can't get in the bath. But are you maybe on the wrong thread?
