To want to go swimming on my own in a non-lifeguarded pool

I'm pregnant, in my second trimester. A friend has offered me use of his private pool. I'd like to use it this afternoon but DH is not happy about me going on my own, just in case I have an accident or something with no lifeguard there to save me. He'd prefer me only to go at weekends when he is available to supervise me.

YANBU - he's being all 'dadly' but also daft. Accidents happen everywhere and can happen anytime. I get where he's coming from but there are no lifeguards at the beach or pool I use.

Your DH may be anxious for you, the reason I wouldn't go swimming on my own
( paddling is not the same ) is because of cramp- had it quite a few times when pregnant- but that was me.

YANBU and I've now got the giggles imagining tanya turner being told to wait for the lifeguard.

Oh you should go, I can't think of anything nicer and I'm not even pregnant!
