To think our "neutered" rescue cats are NOT neutered?

IS it possible? We got 2 six year old rescue cats...both Siamese males...I was told they were neutered but they both have visible testicles (big ones) If I am ignorant please excuse me but I always thought the testicles were not really visible when a cat has been neutered?

I had not really looked "there" iyswim...but their behaviour is very like that of male cats who are not "done"....they spray the house....and one mounts the other sometimes....is it possible the rescue made a mistake?
What does a neutered cat LOOK like down there? Confused

Why wouldn't they give the papers Dogs?

I mean....I don't care about them...they just gave them and said they were interesting to read.

They wouldn't normally give papers as without them the cats are worthless for breeding (which fingers crossed yours are anyway) or for re-sale. A resuce centre would be concerned that with papers an adoptive owner might sell / breed from the cat

Oh right! Yes...I see now. It is a small charity tbh...and seems a bit disorganised.

Given the rescue thought the cats were neutered, they probably thought they were useless for breeding :o

It is more breeding they are bothered about so yes, if they thought they were neutered they would be less bothered by the papers although a lot still wouldnt give them out. The place we rescued ours from was so tight we thought we might get turned down! Home visits (plural) tough interviews, follow up visits :) really strict!

Sorry, I went off in search of wine dinner. :o Catgirl has, of course, answered perfectly.

I miss wine

Our neighbours cat was definitely neutered but still looks as if he has a fine pair and our female cat sprays, so don't worry -the appearance of 'bolleaux' and spraying behaviour doesn't necessarily mean that he's intact.

I once had a female cat from a rescue, and had to pay extra to have her spayed. I had no problem with paying for her to be spayed as it saved me a trip to the vets, although I did feel differently when, a year or so later, she had 3 kittens!
I think it would be worth taking him to a vets to make sure, I know that I would!
