and someone has nicked them.
Bought today in Dps- value £36.
Dh said- "well you should have been carrying them (to me)" as if dd is incapable. She is nearly 15 ffs.
Am I to wander through Kingston like a bloody donkey now, weighed down with everyone's purchases?
Talk about daddy's girl.

It was an accident. I've done similiar as a fully fledged adult. It was Jeeves days off tuts

Losing the tops is punishment enough. Its not like it was intentional.

Deaddei · 03/07/2011 17:58

They have turned up.
DP's phoned me to say, yes 2 young girls tried to return them this afternoon, were challenged and legged it.
So we have 3 tops, a happy dd and a dh who is making tea for me at the moment and pouring me wine. Maybe it was a bit harsh stopping allowance...I think it was the heat of the moment.
As always, thanks for all points of view.
Cheers!!!!!!

WOW!!!

TrilllianAstra · 03/07/2011 18:11

Did someone just admit to having been unreasonable?

That never happens!

Deaddei · 03/07/2011 18:14

I am feeling mellow now.
The wine is kicking in.

great you have them back. Just wanted to say that you DD should be carrying tops and not you. Her responsibility.

Honeydragon · 03/07/2011 18:25

Oh dear, so dd's learnt a lesson and off the hook. Meanwhile else where in town those two girls will get the mother of all bollockings if they're caught!

lizzie1180 · 03/07/2011 18:27

It might still be worth some sort of consequences lesson to her, eg don't let her wear them for a month.
I know it was a mistake but she does need to learn from it.

PrincessJenga · 03/07/2011 18:41

She's been crying in her room lizzie, sounds like she's already learnt from it. OP, I'm glad it's worked out. I'm particularly glad that DH is making tea, sounds like he's also learnt a lesson!

mylovelymonster · 03/07/2011 18:49

wow, that's a great ending. DD learnt a valuable lesson and she has her new tops!! Grin Was explaining it to dd1 (4) and we are both very happy it has turned out well!
