to be getting a little bored of the Pippa Middleton obsession?

Ok, so she's quite attractive (not the most stunning in the world imo) and her sister's married to the future king. Oh yes, and she's got a nice arse.

But WHY does the world need to obsess about her?

If anyone can tell me something she's genuinely done to deserve all the adoration (charity fundraising, hard work, talent) then I'll rethink.

YANBU - I dont want to go on a feminist rant, but the Pippa issue has demonstrated just how women are still viewed in todays world.

She has become "news" for weeks on end now, purely because, at somebody elses wedding, men decided she had a nice arse.

What does that say? What message does that send? Overnight superstar and front page news because men like to look at you from behind. Lovely.

I liked her at the wedding but not so much now.

Imo both sisters look older than they are, they dont have the fresh look that other 20 something girls have. And that with all the money for skincare Hmm

At least Pippa has a 'cheeky' expression and looks alive. Her sister looks so 'good girl' and dull. She looks like an uptight 50 yo. Fab hair thu.

This is the second thread on two days here where someone in the public eye is getting nasty comments about the way they look. How come the majority of the time MN'ers are up in arms about the newspapers slating off "celebs" over their looks, ie; when they do nasty articles about X on the beach looking fat, then X has lost a stone and looks fab.

But then its OK for us to do it?

To answer the OP I should think that Pippa Middleton is also a tad pissed off about it all. Can't be nice not being able to do anything without some Pap chasing her for a photo. She didn't ask for any of this and I see no sign that she's enjoying it.

And she ain't all that looks wise. Kate is much prettier.

Anyone else noticed that Pippa is all over the press but there has not been one mention of the brother since the wedding? Yes I'm bored of it too.

I was asked the other day, if a talent spotter wanted to sign my daughter up in her mid teens to be a famous actor/postar, would I let her? The answer is for just this reason I really would not want that for her. A life of having peeping Tom's stood outside everytime to change hoping to catch a glympse of you, or of articles discussing the perverse acts they would like to envision upon the poor girl, of her looks being the only thing that anyone cares about. That sounds like an existence that I'd hate for my kids, and for this reason I feel sorry for most celebrities. Especially those who didn't chose it.

Pippa is just Kate's sister. She didn't really have much of a choice in this. So she decided to look good to go to her sister's wedding, and now the perverse paparazzi won't leave her alone.

I think the fuss surrounding Pippa was very much planned. Kate is beautiful imo, the Royals aren't going to want another Diana - so they stick Pippa in a white clingy bridesmaids dress knowing how shallow the British public are and jobs done! Kate has been out of the spotlight since the wedding (until the last couple of weeks) - and Pippa has been EVERYWHERE. Not as daft as they look those Royals!

Comparing Pippa to her sister is daft. Pippa is way fitter, it's bloody obvious. Wills picked the wrong sister.

Clearly tastes are subjective. But kate looks too horsey whereas Pippa baby is just top class totty.

She looks so old though, that's what having too much money does for you, too much time in the sun her face is all lined.

They put themselves in the public eye though don't they? havn't seen much evidence of her lying low post wedding

No, i dont think it was planned by the Royals and i don't think the attention is unwanted. She probably enjoys it. She is smart and she likes money so she will make lots of money quickly, with no very hard work.

I heard the plan was for her to be the lady in waiting so she gets to share in the travel, and chat to her sister while holding the gloves/handbag/door!

I think she is very average looking TBH. She has a decent figure but nothing out of the ordinary. She looks v.smug in most photos. I think Kate is beautiful.

I don't get the arse thing. Kate M has not put a foot out of place. Why (oh why) can't the York girls take a leaf out of her book?

(not a royalist, but permanently confused about how the DM promotes certain people that would be otherwise unheard of, and how much such people co-operate with them. Surely it is possible for rich people to go on holiday and NOT be photograhed on luxury yachts when it is obviously going to annoy people living on the breadline. I genuinely do not understand this. I don't suppose I ever will.)

I feel a bit sorry for her really - turned up to her sisters wedding in a dress chosen for her by the bride and the world goes bonkers just because her behind is pert. She never asked for any of this and I do think it is good to keep in mind not to hate her, just the silly press for going OTT.

Regardless of how attractive/unattractive she is, I don't think the press can look at every move Kate Middleton makes (because of Princess Diana) so they go for a substitute- and what better substitute then her sister. It's cynical but I think this is what this is all about.
