Surely you'd agree that there should be an exception for 'gonna' in some instances BitofFun?

You're gonna give your love to me" doesn't convey quite the same sense of determination as 'going to'.

Similarly, 'C'mon on' shouted at one's favourite sports person or team suggests that they should shift their arses in an urgent manner than the use of the more languid 'Come on' would indicate.

I think some of these aren't just about text speak but typing as you speak, as izzy says. Unless you're quoting speech then they shouldn't be used.
