I really fancy a drink tonight but have no wine in the house apart from a bottle or moet given as a wedding present 2 years ago, do you think I should open it because I can't be bothered to go to the shop incase it goes off?

Just opened it and the cork was a bit shrivlled i.e. it wasn't as chubby as champagne corks usually are, tried it and it tastes fine though... does off champagne make you ill?!

Well a whole bottle to yourself definitely does! Share it round then :)

It is very dangerous and yes, you will explode if you drink it. Please abandon it and I will be over to pick it up.

It's for your own good. Wink

Now there's a Dragons' Den idea - MN with options to share booze down the cyberwaves Wink

Punk you are truly kind and altruistic, only looking out for others.

Nice try - and certainly drink it if you want to, sneaky champagne always tastes better!

But as someone who drank a bottle of Moet and Chandon from her chistening at her wedding, it doesn't go off..... (and no I wasn't a child bride!! 30 years had elapsed!)

northerngirl41 · 24/06/2011 20:58

(And for those of you who couldn't fathom how there was champagne left after a christening - I was a christmas baby and everyone was mortally hungover so couldn't face it!)

"She keeps Moet et Chandon...."

Keeps? Keeps? stupid girl......

microserf · 24/06/2011 21:24

it depends. is it at an acceptably chilled temperature? if so, YANBU, they have a shorter shelf life than DD's babybels Grin

i'm off to persuade DH to open our wedding champers.
