to think people are a bit odd for posting pictures on fb of their child in school uniform ready for September?

I mean really what are they doing? They are a little bit mad surely? It's one thing to buy the uniform now, I have some things for ds but people (ie more than one) on my fb friends are posting pics of their September starters in full uniform Hmm

IT'S JUNE!

Isn't this what facebook is for?

Nobody is disputing FB is for sharing pictures/news and friends and rellies far away will want to see the little darlings in their uniform and its exciting- BUT THEY ARENT BLOODY STARTING YET- thats the issue!

TheHumanCatapult · 22/06/2011 18:43

They are just excited especially if it is their first Dc.It is possible dc have had induction day at school or parents have been to school meeting and brought uniform there.

Oh and dd wore uniform to induction days, she has older brothers and wanted to be a big girl and wear unifrom when she went to school .(plus she had shed loads of cast offs already . Mind she is now 8 and grumbles about uniform ,she rather wear jeans trainers and tshirt

isn't the whole point to post a pic when they actually START school Hmm

As I said I have no issue with people buying stuff, makes sense and I said I have started getting stuff.

Fair enough also to try it on, but why post a fb pic NOW.

I stick by my point, it's weird.

Come Sept when they actually start school no-one will care as they've seen it already!

And I did not make a special effort to see the pics, if someone adds pics and selects to publish them you see the first pic in an album or if it's a mobile pic it comes up so it was just on my wall. I'm not a weird stalker Wink

I am going to post a picture of my DD later trying hers on (it's too big, haha) and she's not even in school, she's only just starting her nursery placement, but I figure uniform is cheap, durable and smart, so she's going in that. She loved it. I'll be sharing it with my immediate family.
