Have been watching the Schiavone/Dokic match- Dokic has had a terrible time personally, so am glad to see her doing well.

I tried to change my name to IwanttobeRaahhfaNadalsUnderpants and it is too longSad

So i think I will change to RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy instead....

ILovePonyo · 20/06/2011 16:59

Marking my place :) Missed rafa earlier, boo. am not a fan of Murray, moody git.

Raahh would you care to enlighten me about Dokic please? Don't know what has happened to her personally but like her, hope she wins this match.

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:06

Dokic was born in Serbia, i think, and moved because of the war. The family relocated to Australia- she was a a really promising young player, but her father was bonkers. He caused loads of problems for her, including getting banned from the tour. She left him (think he was her coach or manager?) and after she got a new manager, he was interviewed saying he would bomb Australia.Shock.

Her family were not very supportivre, really, her father abused her, and i think she is only now reconciled with her mother. She has battled with depression. I read an article about her a year or so ago, and thinking how sad it was. sadly, there have been one or two nutty fathers on the women's tour...(was a french play, whose name escapes me, who had a similarly nutty father).

IdDoAndyMurrayInAHurry · 20/06/2011 17:08

Another one here rooting for Dokic, loved watching her play when I was younger as we are about the same age.
I'd like to know what caused her to leave the game for a while. Iiirc itmwas to do with her dad?

ithinkgoranwouldbegoodinbed · 20/06/2011 17:08

Was the other one Justine Justine Henin

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:08

Mary Pierce, she was the French one with the barmy dad

IdDoAndyMurrayInAHurry · 20/06/2011 17:09

X post raahfa, thanks for info. V sad as think she could have been right at the top

ithinkgoranwouldbegoodinbed · 20/06/2011 17:09

Raafastoyboy - you're right

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:09

(I think she was american, but played for France, iirc)

Millie1 · 20/06/2011 17:10

Marking my place. I go on strike during Wimbledon fortnight Grin. This year's a big one for me as I'm actually going for the first time! Court One on Wednesday - hope we get some good matches - and a dry day!

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:11

EnvyMillie1

I went in 1994!

ithinkgoranwouldbegoodinbed · 20/06/2011 17:12

Millie1 - Envy

According to wikipedia, Justin Henin fell out with her father too.

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 17:12

I'm wondering what makes Sir Clive Woodward an expert on Andy Murray Hmm

I think we should operate a ballot system. Some events/players will be oversubscribed in which case the applicant has a shot at their second preference thereby ensuring most people end up with something. Bet I end up with Davydenko Sad.

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:13

see- tennis dads, barking. Just look at Venus and Serena's fatherGrin

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 17:13

PS Mary Pierce's barmy dad was an American but her mum was French.

DoodledGirl · 20/06/2011 17:16

Bleurgh at Boris Becker 'jokingly' asking if Noel Fielding was a girl - like some sad uncle at a wedding Hmm....

....unless he fancied his chances of course Grin

ithinkgoranwouldbegoodinbed · 20/06/2011 17:16

If I draw Roger, I'll pass

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 17:17

You would chuck him back into the mix for someone else to have a go? That's awfully generous.

ithinkgoranwouldbegoodinbed · 20/06/2011 17:19

Yeah I'm nice like that

IdDoAndyMurrayInAHurry · 20/06/2011 17:21

Yeah happy to drop roger too. Djockovic would have wear a hat, his hair upsets me

IdDoAndyMurrayInAHurry · 20/06/2011 17:22

doodled i thought that too. Random man

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 17:22

It upsets me as well. It isn't hair - it's spines, like a hedgehog.

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:23

I like Djoko's hair- looks kind of fluffy

Ariesgirl · 20/06/2011 17:24

It also looks as though it has been thatched to his head.

RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy · 20/06/2011 17:25

Are there any really good looking British players- I don't get the appeal of Murray
