to expect a rechargable item to come with a charger

Bought a rechargable item off eBay and it arrived with only a car charger, no mains charger. The box says it should have a mains charger but the seller says it didn't come with one. They didn't put on their listing that it was missing. AIBU to want a refund? It will take me forever to charge it in my car!

"and came across a current auction that I knew must be the same seller."

out of all the millions of electrical items sold on there at any one time that might need chargers?

Sorry Browneyesblue but I don't think you found the item as I just checked the sellers other items (sold and unsold) and there is only 1 of the item I bought.
They offered me a refund of item (not postage) in the end and didn't want the item back.

Fair enough - apologies OP. I'm sorry I muddied the waters and made people think I was you!

I had thought it must be the same seller as they had used the same wording, but it must have been a weird coincidence.

I'm really glad they offered you a refund - good result :)

yeah, strange coincidence! I now have a useless item (unless I charge it in my car for about 5 years).

Why can't you buy a charger (from e-bay). I know from my friend that her DDs are always losing chargers and they buy them from ebay. The chargers are usually quite cheap. In fact, I think we've bought one ourselves for a couple of quid.
