DS shat in his wellies

So, evidently, I need to buy him a new pair. This is fine as they were getting too small anyway. But I can't find any for love nor money! It's all sandals, which is great, when it's sunny, but not much use when it rains, which let's face it, it does. A lot.

I've tried Boots, Next, H&M. Keep meaning to check in QS and supermarkets but haven't had chance to go to one which does clothes. I don't want to pay ridiculous amounts for some in Clarks when they are

Asda or matalan. Ds also managed to throw upmin his wellies once lol must be something about wellies!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 16/06/2011 20:28

If you can't find any, I mean.

thisisyesterday · 16/06/2011 20:28

i got some in Asda not that long ago for ds1

tyler80 · 16/06/2011 20:28

Asda and Aldi both have wellies at the moment

BertieBotts · 16/06/2011 20:28

Perving on a policeman young enough to be my son?? I'd hope not, they were probably older than me.

No he doesn't go to nursery. He does go to a childminder though, maybe I could ask her. She only has girls, but he won't mind a bit of pink.

Ooh seb, shoezone might be an option, we have one of those.

And Sainsbury's also sounds like a good bet. Anyone been to an Asda recently? That's closer for me.

Trois it was funnelled by his jeans. Admittedly they weren't tucked in and I'm not sure how it managed to aim itself via the jeans into the wellies but not around the edge. Unless there's a surprise waiting for me somewhere.

Tesco have them all year round.

BertieBotts · 16/06/2011 20:29

x-posted. Thanks everyone :) I don't think we have an Aldi. Just a Lidl.

Possibly not by the weekend. They're in a box in the attic and I'm in the middle of Double glazing fitting hell at the moment Sad

BertieBotts · 16/06/2011 21:02

:( Sounds fun! I hope you aren't getting as much rain as we are.

I think I'll try supermarket, shoe zone or camping shop tomorrow. ONE of them must have some.

ASDA have them in atm - well the one near me does.

I'm still impressed he shat in his wellies Grin

Cymar · 16/06/2011 21:06

A fishing tackle shop may do them too. I remember getting most of my wellies for digging ragworm and lugworm from the local tackle shop.

HeadfirstForHalos · 16/06/2011 21:11

Woolies online, woolies was always my favourite place to get wellies and sandals :)

Headfirst, those ladybird wellies are the cutest thing ever. I wonder if they do next day delivery...

Can only sympathise with the shit in wellies problem. At least your son comes in a conventional wellie size. Try finding wellies for a size 3 or 4. DD3 (nearly 22 months) has been in a highly expensive pair of Jojo ones since last October but really she's grown out of them now. Does any bugger sell wellies in a size 4 at this time of year? Do they heck.

WhenDoISleep · 16/06/2011 21:31

Debenhams have wellies in the childrens department atm

radstar · 16/06/2011 21:40

I got some in Tesco a couple of weeks ago, only one style though.

On a different note where can I get some for me size 5? I havent had any in the last 25 years, its about time I joined my son in puddle jumping!

Sorry for the hijack Smile

blackeyedsusan · 16/06/2011 21:49

Asda had some 2 days ago, loads of them.

poo in wellies is easy to sort out, wash them out with water and disinfectant, rinse well.. drain upside down, leave to dry in warm place... sorted..

NewShooz · 16/06/2011 21:49

If you have no luck elsewhere, you could try your local garden centre...Ours do wellies all year round, and they are cheaper this time of year.
