AIBU about DH?

I'm pre-menstral so my emotions are a little everywhere, and I don't know if I am being unfairly pissed off at him or not.
Anyway DH was invited to a leaving do which involved one of thoes fish pedicures, he asked if I would like to come too, as I kind of know them and they would like to see DS. So I said I would.
So they all have their pedicures and DS and I watch for 15 mins, The rest of the group were going on to have dinner in a restaurant, DH said he wasn't interested.
So we get to the car park put the token in display shows 1hr 1min, and charged us the under and hr rate, I said that was lucky! DH tries to pay the machine but his pound keeps getting rejected I said I have a pound and take out my purse but before I did he has a hissy fit with the machine and presses cancel, he then puts the token back in and now displays 1hr 2mins and double the price!!
(Getting to the point now) AIBU to think that DH should have offered to go back in and let me have a pedicure as 1) we have already paid for the extra hr and 2) I have wanted a fish pedicure for over a year and then he dangles this infront of me and doesn't even offer to get my feet done while he looks after DS?
Please be gentle VERY hormonal and incapable of rational judgement!

Fish pedicures are banned in most states in the US as they are so unhygenic. If they chomp on someone with a little cut on their foot, then chew down on you then they could pass on any nasty blood diseases that they're now carriers of. Or you could get them chewing off someone's verucca and then rubbing it all over your foot while they munch on you.

Sounds totally grim.

Eh? You dropped hints? He's your DH. Just say 'Right, my turn'.
How odd.

Slightlyreluctantexpat · 16/06/2011 10:45

OP, nobody will know what you want if you don't explain it to them clearly.

So, if you wanted a fish pedicure, why didn't you pass DS to DH and say that you were having one? Or sit DS on your lap while you did it?

I've done this out here in Malaysia. It's very cheap here and quite fun. At the one I've been to no-one would mind me having a small child beside me or on my lap, or even dangling its legs in too.

OP, you must SAY WHAT YOU MEAN, even to people like DHs whom you might think would read your mind.

PMSL at 'longing looks'. Why not just say you want a fish pedicure? Confused

Actually as a medical health professional I'd like to just correct a lot of misconceptions. You can only catch diseases from the water if unscrupulous / greedy unprofessional people allow them to get into the tank. That is to say any professional medical/ beauty trained personnel 'manning' this type of salon - has a duty of care to both the client and the livestock. Feet or hands should be inspected carefully before they are permitted to use the spa, then washed thoroughly.
Skin that is very inflammed or broken - even unhealed blisters should not be permitted. Whether somebody carries blood borne illness or not shouldn't come into it- as this is a non-invasive procedure. Ever had you feet checked at the swimming pool, pity! you walked all over their floors contaminated with multitudes of bacteria and viruses. As for piercings and tattoos, well - need I say more!!!
