If you don't like what's in you choice of media, stop reading it. They only publish this stuff because it sells newspapers/raises viewing figures. If it didn't, they wouldn't.

Radio 2, 4 and occasionally a Telegraph here. Although I do have to ignore pictures on the front of the Telegraph sometimes.

We play...'is that really news' with the Torygraph. You can open it at ANY page and there will be at least one story which is not only not news, but it is often 'anti-news' i.e. Something starting with 'scientists have predicted.....' or 'a survey has discovered that people like to change their freezer every two years. The survey, conducted by ABC FreezerCO.....' in other words, PR puff pieces.

DH KNOWS that it is just a jumped-up tabloid, but he still persists.

I hate the mail but perversely I read it online to seethe and get all indignant by it (and the comments - the best bit). The whole woman hate thing with the ridiculous stories about a zoom up from a mile away of some celebs cellulite on one page then on the next bemoaning some poor anorexic sufferers plight etc.

Now, i've released that the Mail is actually doing a sneaky backwards public service. They print these ridiculous stories about that saggy baby tummy and then sit back and watch the reading public defend these poor woman to the hilt. So really they are bringing us all together, it's rather warm and fuzzy actually.

the number of women who have become famous through 'leaked' sex tapes/naked pics/ upskirt no nknicks make me want to puke, it is now a defacto requirement for many women to become quite wealthy and psudeo famous

Tabloids? they are in a ratings war for selling newspapers. They say that a mixture of busts, bums and royals sells papers. And thats why they do it I think the royals thing is tedious. I am told the mail on sunday is full of it today. (do youlot buy it for that? I imagine a lot of the women do)
