Who is maoning about pages? Who, who eczacerly?

PurveyorOfBaloney · 10/06/2011 23:50

My life is unchanged

I'm still going to bed.

Valpollicella · 10/06/2011 23:51

Why would anyone have MN as pages?

Scroll, read, skip (boring) scrolly scroll, read, skip, read, scroll

Et voila.

400 post thread read in 1 min

thumbwitch · 10/06/2011 23:52

Sorry, agree with Goo - I don't want to load massive threads first out! I rarely click on a thread that has more than 100 posts on it anyway, cba to read all the posts Blush, so I tend to read the first page and then the last page to see how things have changed. If it's really interesting, then I'll switch to show all messages and just scroll down to read the OP's posts and get the gist of what's happening.

In fact, that is my spot of advice - go to Customise and highlight the OP's posts - makes it 100x easier to see when they've replied to questions/updated the story/agreed they were unreasonable or whatever.
:)

PurveyorOfBaloney · 10/06/2011 23:53

You forgot the {bookmark} bit Val - when the thread is mildly interesting, but your quite bored (or time pressured) for now

thumbwitch · 10/06/2011 23:54

ah well, bookmarking isn't available in MN Classic (unless they've updated it) but I do have my posts highlighted as well so I can scroll back to where I last posted, at least. If I did. And if I didn't then I'm not usually bothered.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/06/2011 23:56

I'm sorry Val?

We're you agreeing with me?

Valpollicella · 11/06/2011 00:01

You and me Chaos, we're always on the same (all on one) page (thread)

SarahStratton · 11/06/2011 00:05

Err what exactly are these dimple pafes. I'd like a bit of life changing tbh.

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 00:23

I think I have mumsnet new, but have always stuck with the op at the bottom, no pages, think of all those pointless calories wasted by moving your hand slightly to change pages. Much easier to skim read too.
